I don't wear Reflection Man that much but when I do I always get compliments from women. Disagree completely on it smelling un-manly. Great longevity as well. Banger.
Only insicure man would not like reflection man. The only reason i don’t have a bottle is because it smells not like an amouage. I would give it a 10 if it had a little insence in it
Everything on this list gets me mad compliments... Even the "new" reformulation of creed aventus I don't have a problem with longevity or projection. To sum it up fragrances are subjective to each it's own.
Yes, hell yes, you nailed it. I also know many women that love sauvage and joop homme. And lets not forget: fragrances smell differently on different people, while somebody may smell like shit wearing joop, another person can smell fantastic, same goes for aventus etc..
My own personal experience is that By the Fireplace has been one of my most complimented by women. Probably depends on where you live, when you wear it, etc, etc. For instance, people in smaller towns will more than likely have different taste than folks in bigger cities.
I got toy boy a few days ago, got an interest for it because i saw many people liking it and many people hating it. For me it worked wonders, i noticed this perfume has great reviews in some countries and bad reviews in other countries. Generally the countries that speak a romance language view it as cool and masculine, i think it's a cultural type of thing, not every culture associates this kind of smell with masculinity. It worked for me, but i TOTALLY don't recommend it as a blind buy.
Yeah, I think that in most latin European culture, a man that mixes a little bit of feminity in his masculinity is considered sexy. Think your stereotypical Don Juan, Zorro, etc. Long hair, skinny frame, dandy style, but very bold, in your face and flirtatious. That's the vibe that fits with Toy Boy imo.
I have around 60 fragrances in my collections and a lot of niche ones too. Amouage reflection man has gotten me the most compliments. Even better is the Reflection 45. I get it that it's subjective but I guess 60 fragrances is a pretty good sample size for this one to be a easy recommendation. When I wear it, it's sucha nice rich smell all around me when I'm sitting in a theatre or a Broadway show. So I completely disagree with this review and the silage is mind blowing too
I hated Fahrenheit and Joop when I was younger. But those scents were forever burnt in my memory and when I started collecting fragrances again I bought them and now thoroughly appreciate them for what they are. And I agree with you on toy boy but I still wear it when I’m by myself at the house because it’s such a powerful beast. Good video

Personally, I always go for niche fragrances as I’ve no interest in doing what everyone else is doing and find them far more interesting. My personal hated fragrance, has always be Joop.. can’t stand the stuff, instant headache.
Sauvage EDP was my first true Designer fragrance (apart from Hugo Boss). It was what I THOUGHT an attention grabbing fragrance should smell like. I realize I wasn’t wrong, as everybody has it and loves it, but it’s common place. It went from being my Dinner and Drink scent to my office scent. Like you said, it’s not bad, it’s just commonplace among guys who wear good fragrance.
She loves it because she wants you to wear a repellent. Ferenhieght is older than my grandfather and smells like him. Best way to test if she likes it, ask her to wear it for a few days😅

Personally, Moschino Toy Boy works wonders for me, maybe the weather in my country but wow… The compliments i get from it is the highest. My top fragrance in my entire collection! I'm starting to get deeper into fragrances but I've been an avid Whiskey enthusiast for years (it's interesting how much these two niches have in common), but Creed Aventus to me is almost like the Pappy line of Whiskeys. It's like the one that is super hyped up and everyone wants to copy and any off brand or fragrance related to it is highly sought after. Also the price continues to rise on those brands yet the batches are beginning to decline in quality as the popularity increases. Just an interesting comparison I noticed
Oud Ispahan is way better than Toyboy or Rose Malaki. Today I am wearing an Ajmal oud oil, layered with iso-E, Molton Brown Rosa Absolute, Kayali Vanilla Royale and Choco Musk by Al Rehab.

I agree about all apart from no.1 of course, you need to try the vintage version of Joop from 1989-1995 which is pure magic. To everyone else, Creed Aventus is a copy of a cheap mediocre deodorant from the 90s that nobody wanted.
I just bought dior fahrenheit parfum for my father yesterday, I find it disgusting but he loves it and doesn't want any other fragrance than that or clinique happy... so if it makes him happy I don't mind
Haha. Reflection is my signature. I'm straight but I totally understand the take on it here and it really made me laugh. To other people I probably do smell like a pus.sy who wants to be everyone's darling. But I don't wear fragrances for other people. I wear them for myself, like aromatherapy, and the smell of Reflection is one of my favorite smells on Earth.

I’ve tried multiple times, but I still can’t stand Creed Aventus, along with Terre D’Hermes… 2 very popular scents that I don’t like at all. In fact, the last time I wore them, my male buddies had some negative to say on both occasions. Seems like they agree.
I cant begin to say how ABSOLUTELY right you are about disgusting Farenheit Dior... someone got this to me as a bday present along time ago at first I was happy then I smelled it...wore that 2 times before making its way to the trash can. Best way to describe it...something went foul then someone tried to turn it to a perfume and failed horribly in the process.

I had a room mate that would use about half a bottle of Farenheit a day I swear. He would walk around with a cloud of it around him. Didnt dislike the guy but HATE Farenheit. Not as much as Dior Leather Oud though.

I'm a car guy, so maybe that's why I love Fahrenheit so much, but it's my goto.. it's strong and what a masculine man should smell like. That said, I heard the new formula sucks. I think they went to mainstream since I've seen it at Walmart and Walgreens, but luckily, I have a few bottles of the old eau de parfum that isn't sold anymore and I'm now scared to use, haha I have Fahrenheit from the late 90s early 00's, I was unpacking from moving recently, I found a coat that still smelled like it, and I probably haven't touched the coat since 2008 😂

Farenheight is a real stinker, but I own it & wear it occasionally @ home. Aventus is still good for me. I wore it the other day & it was pumping off my skin after 6 hours. Ombre leather & Spice Bomb Extreme are my daily wears right now & they are amazing for comps. Keep up the good work. You are unique in the fragcom. Now I'm going to watch the video again.
Fahrenheit smells like a tire shop, immediately showered it off. Also if I come home from work, shower, I don't want to spray on and smell like what I just tried to wash off.
totally agree with your list.. fahrenheit is like diesel mix with rubber tyres...I dont understand why Men want to smell like tyres, Leather, dirty branch, dirt , malt, or gasoline!!!! there are many Good Frags out there. Maybe buyers jump into buying spree bcos of HYpe in UA-cam..myself included.
I think it also really depends on the country. For example i feel like where i live, not that many people wear Sauvage, and i dont remember when i last smelled Invictus on someone. I feel like here a lot of people wear Davidoff for some reason.

I have to be in the mood for wanted by night and I have to keep it off of my neck because it does kind of get to be too much for me there is a sweetness to it that gets in my nose and starts to give me a headache. I really like the way it smells but I have to keep it off my neck and chest more on my arms back of my neck keep it as a trail instead of in my face and then I really like it.

Something I bought not long ago and can't where is Dylan blue. I love things about it but the Finish is so heavy with ambroxan that it makes me sick. Something about ambroxan just gets to me. I love the very faint ambroxan finish of legacy I think it's perfect. But the use of ambroxan and Dylan blue is nauseating to me. To see if I can't tone that down I'm adding a couple of things that are sweet to see if something will work with it. I am layering qaed al fursan a pineapple bomb over it initially smells pretty good together. And im layering lataffa Hayaati to see of the bubble gummy sweetness mellow out that ambroxan finish of Dylan blue. Both still carrying that Aqua DNA seem to marry pretty well upon first spray waiting on the dry down. Okay dry down for both made it way more wearable for me. But the hayati made that gross ambroxan smell nearly disappear I think that's my winter. Yay I can actually use Dylan blue now and not regret buying it.
One that wasn't in this review but I wish Escada still made is Casual Friday. That was and still is the best smelling cologne I've ever smelled and worn.
I cannot stand Creed Aventus. If I go out to dinner and somebody at the table is wearing it, I can't even taste my food. Maybe because if a man gets a few compliments, they decide to take a bath in the stuff. Now, I like Creed, they have a lot of beautiful fragrances, that I personally wear myself. I realize fragrance is personal and we all have different tastes but wow, one spray of that stuff is more than enough, let's not clear the room by dousing yourself from head to toe.
Hope Dior Fahrenheit hasn’t really gotten that bad. Use to wear that a lot like over 10 years ago when I was young and easily the most compliments I got. Stopped wearing cologne for a long time until recently and haven’t bought a new bottle of it so I’m skeptical now.

Fahrenheit is my all time favourite. i am close to 50 years old so have sampled 100's of fragrances over the years. it is so distinct.

Try Amouage Portrayal. A softened and upgraded version of Fahrenheit. I respect the OG, but Portrayal just blew my mind when I sprayed it.

Joop is a 90s masterpiece. I wore it proudly back then. Same with Polo, Drakkar Noir, and Cool Water.

If you're into both you should find yourself a bottle of Thierry Mugler Pure Malt. And combine the love of whiskey and cologne.

totally agree with your list.. fahrenheit is like diesel mix with rubber tyres...I dont understand why Men want to smell like tyres, Leather, dirty branch, dirt , malt, or gasoline!!!! there are many Good Frags out there. Maybe buyers jump into buying spree bcos of HYpe in UA-cam..myself included.
I think it also really depends on the country. For example i feel like where i live, not that many people wear Sauvage, and i dont remember when i last smelled Invictus on someone. I feel like here a lot of people wear Davidoff for some reason.
It's funny you said that about Farenheit because I finally got around to buying L'aventure and while there are some other notes in there it very much reminds me of Farenheit, but I'm 40+ so I'm probably talking about the OG formula. I'm interested to smell Farenheit now

I have to be in the mood for wanted by night and I have to keep it off of my neck because it does kind of get to be too much for me there is a sweetness to it that gets in my nose and starts to give me a headache. I really like the way it smells but I have to keep it off my neck and chest more on my arms back of my neck keep it as a trail instead of in my face and then I really like it.

One of the best perfumes I ever got was Fragonard Désert. Not that easy to obtain, but worth every penny.
Something I bought not long ago and can't where is Dylan blue. I love things about it but the Finish is so heavy with ambroxan that it makes me sick. Something about ambroxan just gets to me. I love the very faint ambroxan finish of legacy I think it's perfect. But the use of ambroxan and Dylan blue is nauseating to me. To see if I can't tone that down I'm adding a couple of things that are sweet to see if something will work with it. I am layering qaed al fursan a pineapple bomb over it initially smells pretty good together. And im layering lataffa Hayaati to see of the bubble gummy sweetness mellow out that ambroxan finish of Dylan blue. Both still carrying that Aqua DNA seem to marry pretty well upon first spray waiting on the dry down. Okay dry down for both made it way more wearable for me. But the hayati made that gross ambroxan smell nearly disappear I think that's my winter. Yay I can actually use Dylan blue now and not regret buying it.

I cannot stand Creed Aventus. If I go out to dinner and somebody at the table is wearing it, I can't even taste my food. Maybe because if a man gets a few compliments, they decide to take a bath in the stuff. Now, I like Creed, they have a lot of beautiful fragrances, that I personally wear myself. I realize fragrance is personal and we all have different tastes but wow, one spray of that stuff is more than enough, let's not clear the room by dousing yourself from head to toe.

Hope Dior Fahrenheit hasn’t really gotten that bad. Use to wear that a lot like over 10 years ago when I was young and easily the most compliments I got. Stopped wearing cologne for a long time until recently and haven’t bought a new bottle of it so I’m skeptical now.
