The treasure of Oak Island is the knowledge that a more complete history of the area exists. The hope that it includes a buried reliquary of the Knights Templar containing spoils from hudreds of years occupying the Holy Lands is unbeleivable! The money pit as a distraction makes sense, keeping the focus away from the obvious burial site... the swamp. It's a man made triangle with an eye in the center. A smelly, clay bottom sludge filled area inhospitable to any search attempts. I don't doubt something of great value will be found because of the money pit. I only hope that the discovery doesn't stop the search of the swamp and the discovery of what's really hidden.
