October was a busy month for me too. My five year-old niece was diagnosed with cancer. She’s been getting all the treatments and doing good so far but we’ve got about another year worth of treatment. Just trying to stay positive, but I’m not gonna lie. It’s hard and it took a toll on me and the rest of my family.
I lost the first cat I rescued almost four years ago and I know I'm still not ready to let go. She was my first rescue, my first pet, she was only three years old and I know I still mourn her and I know I'm not letting go any time soon. I still had and still have her two sisters and the year after she passed we rescued another cat and the next year we rescued our fourth one, so now I have four cats that I adore with all my life and I will be lost without them. You take your time, girl! You had and have a lot of things happening. Give yourself your deserved break. I love you
Hi Sam I am very happy to see you :) I really like what you are doing and after dealing with several medical issues I find that I too am needing to stay home reset my internal clock . I did join our local "Spinners and Weavers guild" and am learning new things as well as spending fun time with a group of wonderful people.. I built a spindle ( hand held version that does the same thing as a spinning wheel) and I am mastering other new skills. I also made a homemade weaving frame from a picture frame and I also made small round cardboard round loom to weave small trinket bowls :) I have found that I am getting bouts of depression after illnesses lately ( shingles and severe arthritis lasting two months (still having issues with my hand control since I have a neck full of bone spurs (numb-ish hand etc )I just yesterday bought two new books . One is a mystery novel with a witchy theme :) I plan to read to music because that way I can put my cpap mask on and I will get sleep :) Long story longer( as Jade The Libra) would say I need to work getting better at more than just weaving :) Keep up what you are doing because you have a great plan .I miss you when you are not here but am very happy (Mom moment) that you are taking the time to care for you

So glad to see that things are going well for you Sam! Mental AND physical health are so important to our quality of life. Prioritizing those things for yourself is paramount. I have to often remind myself that I can't pour from an empty cup. So in order to be my best for those around me, I have to first take care of myself. As you mentioned, I also find it difficult to not constantly work on stuff. I have trouble just sitting back, relaxing and just truly enjoying things. So I've been trying to make it a point to just slow down and really appreciate all the blessings I have in my life ❤
Sitting still is a struggle but I think once you can start to unravel that habit and way of thinking you see the difference! It is def a slippery slope!
So glad you are working on you. I feel better now that I’m working on myself. That is awesome about your weight loss. I wish I was seeing more on the scale, but I’m still feeling better about getting up and working out 5 days a week. I hope you continue to do what you need to do, if that is still stepping away or putting out videos. Definitely keep working on your stationary and doing markets… one day I’ll get back to Salem and we will have to meet up.

I totally, totally, TOTALLY get it when it comes to struggling mentally. I feel like the past year or two I've just been going through the motions, at the end of 2022 going into 2023 I had some scary health stuff going on and just feel like my... for lack of a better way to describe it, personality hasn't bounced back.
I’ve not bounced back yet either but taking the small steps helps over time. I know it can feel dark, lonely and scary but taking it one day at a time has helped me. You deserve to shine bright!! Sending my love and strength to you💗💗

So glad to see that things are going well for you Sam! Mental AND physical health are so important to our quality of life. Prioritizing those things for yourself is paramount. I have to often remind myself that I can't pour from an empty cup. So in order to be my best for those around me, I have to first take care of myself. As you mentioned, I also find it difficult to not constantly work on stuff. I have trouble just sitting back, relaxing and just truly enjoying things. So I've been trying to make it a point to just slow down and really appreciate all the blessings I have in my life ❤
Sitting still is a struggle but I think once you can start to unravel that habit and way of thinking you see the difference! It is def a slippery slope!

What am I up to, we are now raising our Granddaughter who will be 5 on the 30th of this month and man is it STRESSFUL!!!! I mean we have had her pretty much at least half the week since she was born but as of about a year ago we started to have her full time. We are also looking for a house because our tiny condo was fine for us empty nesters but not with a 5 year old and all their toys and stuff and the running around. House hunting is NOT fun!!! It is a literal nightmare! It is such a sellers market so houses are being snatched up almost before we can look at it! Oh, and once we get our house we are getting a dog!!!!!! I can't wait!!!

I totally, totally, TOTALLY get it when it comes to struggling mentally. I feel like the past year or two I've just been going through the motions, at the end of 2022 going into 2023 I had some scary health stuff going on and just feel like my... for lack of a better way to describe it, personality hasn't bounced back.
I’ve not bounced back yet either but taking the small steps helps over time. I know it can feel dark, lonely and scary but taking it one day at a time has helped me. You deserve to shine bright!! Sending my love and strength to you💗💗
