Hey guys......I'm glad everyone likes the cab I built.....I'm pretty happy with it......Just so you know I didn't really have any plans for it.....I just drew a picture of what I would like but with a bit of style......not like your typical atv cab......some of the ideas changed as i built but it's not far off it's original drawing....Someone asked what material I used to cover the cab......Its the same fabric used on snow machine seats.....I will try and add some pics of the build and hopefully that might help anyone with there build.......Would like to build and sell them but I don't have a shop to do it in right now.....Thanks for your interest......and glad everyone likes it

Hi Jeffg, this vodeo is awesome and really like the cabin that you build. Eould that be a lot of trouble to input all materials that you used to build it. Like the size of the tubing, not sure if you use plexiglass for the windos but all information about the cabin would be beneficial, please and thank you

You've managed to make a cab cover that actually LOOKS good. Everyone I've seen are homely as hell.

I love your cab, thanks for posting video. I posted on a cab I almost finished and used the last couple years. Its hard to find any ATV cabs or videos. I get more views on my ATV cab video than on anything else. Got a new design I plan to build this year. Something like the old CJ Jeeps used but with Vinyl windshield. I like the option of dropping the top. I like the way you extended the cab back a little. I plan to go back about a foot on my next cab. It will cover my work wench then. Anyway, thanks again for posting the video. Wish I could find more than the few that's out there.

This is FN awesome. Just what I've been looking for. You should do another video and put ALL the photos in it. I'd love to see how you fastened each bar and the windows as well as the fabric. DETAILS please!!!

Certainly a beautiful job. Better than a commercial top

Great design. Super nice results. Would have been nice to have a lot more details about the build, the materials used, the cost, etc. but I can tell you this cab project is not cheap. And it will require a LOT of hours of work.
I'm going try my hand at doing a "Southern" version of a cab for one of my ATV's. We don't get snow and don't need a cold weather cab that goes on at the start of winter and stays on all season.
We get tons of rain however and need something that is easy on; easy off so that on dry days it can be left off or stripped down to a more open configuration. I'm thinking about a PVC frame with canvas panels with plastic windows velcro secured in place to each panel. The whole thing would be designed to be able to configure it in several different ways, from just a windshield only version to adding a roof, to enclosing some or all of the sides.
I'll post a video on my channel when I get around to building it. Will certainly be using a lot of the features in this excellent project video as my inspiration!

Nice looking cab. I been looking for one for my Polaris 570. Most are pretty crappy built with a blind spot in the front corners. You inspired me to build my own. Thanks.

Nice work JeffG..A couple of questions . Did the cab increase the noise level for the rider...Are exhaust fumes tolerable / bad /nonexistent..How much time does it take to install/ remove this cab? Thank you

  • @geraldlebeau6973
    @geraldlebeau6973 6 років тому

Nice job nice video I was wondering do the fumes come up in from the exhaust at all I was thinking the same type of thing building the windshield that way I was going to use like conduent tubing and maybe bending it but aluminum is great and I was going to use for covering the same type of material that a Jeep soft top is made out of and you could also put a small heater in there one that plugs into the auxiliary or hardwire it something that's not too powerful so you don't burn anything or melt anything a blowing fuses very nice job I really like it that's the only thing driving through some trails with something like that you're bound to rip it off LOL love it though keeps you out of the Wind nice job you could mock it that and sell that with your name on it go for it

  • @jeffgeneroux6803

Towerhillbilly.....the cab is about 100lbs and it takes 2 people to take it off cause of the height it has to be lift but about 15 min to remove or put on.....the noise level is higher when its on but didnt bother me to much because i wanted to stay warm...lol but with a helmet its not bad....and i didnt notice any exhaust fumes but my wife did....so it cant be to bad for fumes

Hi Jeff, just came across your video, WOW that's amazing. I was hoping when your able or willing to send me a message about your enclosure I have some questions about your project. I would like to do something like this for my atv. some questions are: where did you get the fabric for your shell and how did you secure it, how did you secure the cab to your quad, how did you bend the aluminum for the curved areas, how long are the screws you used to secure the glass to the aluminum and did you pre-drill the glass, what did you use to latch the doors when close and finally is there any draft space on your cab. amazing post. hope to hear from your soon. thanks.NH-TEXAN

Hey there Jeff G..great project and fine video....I notice you are not answering questions so I'm probably wasting my time with these..
How much time to install/ remove your cab each time?...Do you get any significant amount of heat inside (The GOOD kind) for extended use / long trips....do the windows fog up at low speeds?..How much money did you invest in it?
    Thanks in advance
