    Great video, Old Boy! One thing I appreciate is your candor; if you don't like something, you say so.

    Good afternoon from the Great State of Texas. This ration looks like it is missing some stuff. Did you bring the stove or was it provided ? What would you add to make this ration even better?

    • @GreeklishOutdoors
      @GreeklishOutdoors  Місяць тому +1

      Good evening Lee. I brought my own stove with me. Yes I think it would benefit from a few extra items. I think some additional drinks (isotonic beverage powders), some other snacks (nuts, dried fruit, cereal bar), napkins, additional wet towels. Anothed addition that would be nice (but not essential) is a method of heating water e.g. a bendable metal stove and fuel tabs like those proved in the French military ration. All the best and have a great weekend, Jono 😊👍🏼 🇺🇸 🇬🇷 🇬🇧

    Hi Greeklish! My 1st experience with those seasame bars was in a German ration. They were very soft and chewy. I had them again later from another ration, and they were more like these, crispy and crunchy. I would eat all the items here, and I think my kids would too, so I may have to check these out, although shipping may be pricey. Take care!

      Hello my friend. I’ve had some chewy ones in the German ration too and I thought they were pretty good. Yes all the items were pretty good and definitely worth trying at least once. Thanks, you too and have a great weekend 😊👍🏼

    You hit the nail on the head all freeze dried meals are expensive, but if you’re wanting the lightweight convenience you pay the price

    • @GreeklishOutdoors
      @GreeklishOutdoors  Місяць тому +1

      Yes exactly. Sometimes it’s not possible to cook a proper meal outdoors and I think for convenience, this pack is very good. It just needs a couple more drinks. All the best and have a great weekend 😊👍🏼

    Looked good Jono the main meals 👌🏻 the seed bars are ok ( I’m assuming these are the cold weather addition?? Extra Kcaks )
    But price is stiff but again it’s light in weight and that’s the point I guess (especially if you can get water as you go!)
    Great review as always mate 👌🏻
    Best wishes Simon 🤠

      Hi Simon. Yes I thought they were pretty good. I thought the seed bars would be for cold weather kcal, but Travellunch puts them in their hot weather packs too 🤷🏻‍♂️ I agree it’s not the cheapest, but cheaper than buying most camping meals separately 💰 Definitely good for weight. Thanks very much mate 😊🙏🏼 I hope all it well with you. All the best, Jono 😊👍🏼

    I watched many of your nice videos by now, why the dragonfly hat? Greetings xD

      Hello 🙋🏻‍♂️ Over the summer we had a problem with horseflies. I discovered that dragonflies are a natural predator of horseflies and therefore, if I clipped some fake dragonflies to my hat, it would keep them away. All the best 😊👍🏼

    Have you ever tried the US meal cold weather? It's only one meal but they have way more protein. Love and prayers from America.

      Yes, but only once. I had the Turkey Tetrazzini menu. I went up into the mountains and ate it in the snow ❄️😁 It was very tasty 😊👍🏼 🇺🇸 Thank you 🙏🏼 Take care and all the very best for 2025 🇬🇷 🇺🇸🫶🏻

    For around $33 I wouldn't be happy with that.

    • @GreeklishOutdoors
      @GreeklishOutdoors  Місяць тому +1

      It might seem pricey, but If you were going to buy all the camping meals and snacks separately, it would cost a lot more. Never going to be as cheap as making your own. All the best Nick 😊👍🏼

      @@GreeklishOutdoors Yep. Make your own. If you buy in bulk, each coffee with sugar and 'cream' costs £0.20p.
