This was my first rifle , .223 deluxe model with single set trigger. Bought when you could still buy guns direct through the post with no RFD transfer. It was a great rifle , did everything it needed to do.
I have owned two CZ527. That same rifle. 223 and in 7.62x39. I still have the 7.62x39 rifle. I loved the both, but strangely enough, 7.62x39 shot much better than the. 223. Great rifle!
Something about the 7.62x39 was magic for those rifles. moa with steel trash ammo and sub moa with premium factory rounds(hornady). It's such a shame they stopped making all their rifles.
I have the same model in 222 for the odd fox mine shots dead straight with 50g bullets great rifles for the price And nice piece of wood on them as well
@@jaseyb1 set triggers are pretty much antique now, modern rifles have much better triggers with more accurate sear engagement that was only available on hand finished guns of the past. The ones I encounter ridiculously light and generally just a crutch for someone with target panic flinch who cant reliably control a trigger with reasonable weight. There are places for super light triggers on some specific rifle types but a lot of shooters who come for tuition are amazed at how correct mental approach cures their issues
Worth it over a modern .223? Always get concerned with 2nd hand after being burned, particularly living in a place where licensing takes a long time and is tied to the serial no.
Beautiful rifle! Is it 1:12 or 1:9 twist rate? I have the same rifle in 1:12, mine is pretty picky about ammo. It shoot standard 55 grain ammo not that good, Then I tried a box of Norma 40 grains V Max, with that ammo is incredibly accurate. Is that stock free floating barrel? Thanks
There's a lot of them on the used market I bought mine when you couldn't buy anything new paid a premium price and I had to do some minor things to get it the way I wanted but nothing major it's a wonderful rifle and would not consider parting with it if I wanted another one I would start looking online and I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised
Keep it put a resonably priced nv set up and show people you dont have to spend a fortune to get out there and have a effective vermin control tool, and seeing as its a .223 you could always go after a muntjac cwd or scottish roe
Nice idea in theory but I personally need another gun "about as much as a fish needs a bicycle". It's also not screw cut and wouldn't need to be for my requirements
So you left out the important info what does a rifle like that go for across the pond I just picked up a beautiful one in the USA for $400, good deal or no ?
How about a series on buying second hand. What to look for, what to avoid etc. Good second hand buys in your opinion.

También tengo y es excelente y puedo usar 5.56 nato
Had one in .222 for 20+ years. Still use it on a weekly basis.
This is beautiful rifle

I would love to see more of the cz527 in 223 testing as I own one
It’s an old rifle and no longer in production

Can’t wait to see the rifle shot.
Push the trigger forward and now you have a hair trigger. I love mine. Bought it in 2007 and it's still as accurate as when it came out of the box
it is NOT a single set trigger
If the set trigger isn't working it's because some previous goon adjusted it out of it 😂
To show this shooting on paper Chris look forward to seeing it good video...
You didnt mention pushing the trigger forward for set trigger which is super light
That's because this one doesn't have a set trigger thankfully.
Really i thought they all had them lol
I personally dont like it ,far too sencetive

Savage 25 varmint in .223 would love to see one of those i don't think theres any videos on it
Rare in the UK
They discontinued it right before I was going to get one. Still a bit irritated at CZ for not *at least* keeping the 527 Carbine around.

I bought mine site unseen from a photo
Excelente rifle 👍
Would like to see you do a review on the Benelli Lupo series of rifles
Unlikely unless somebody wants to fund the project but you never know
Are these worth buying for a collection as a classic now the 600 has replaced it
That depends if you want to collect for collecting's sake or if you expect them to appreciate in value. A yes, B no.
I've actually been searching for a nice 527 in 223 ! Where is this for sale please Chris?
It's not for sale, that's not allowed on UA-cam anyway
Ps it should have a nice set trigger as standard 👍
It does not have a set trigger
@@chrisparkin431 oh right never known a 527 not to have !

If you mention money, UA-cam assume you are trying to sell stuff. It was £200
@@chrisparkin431 oh sorry didn't know that thanks
