How to Repair a Makita Radio that won't run on batteries. I took out and bridged the power connector from this makita radio. Some time in the future I might put a power jack back into this radio but as I never use it with a power adapter it might be a while. This repair / hack is easy to do and if you have a couple of screwdrivers and a 4mm allen key you can get to the culpret which turns out to be a dodgy power socket that wont disconnect after you remove the power cord. A little soldering is required for this fix but these radios have really good sound and are worth the hastle.

If you have makita batteries and charger already it's much cheaper to buy makita tools bare tool or as a set.
