- In this video we will make a model horse english bridle. I have done a basic bridle and steps on how to make your bridle higher quality. Some of the additions include a raised nose band and browband, a braided browband and laced reins. I also discuss the lace used.
The saddle you see is from Breyers Tutorials. Check out their club to get the tutorial and pattern!

Hey, Lisa! This had helped me so much with my tack! thank you. 👍🤩
You are so welcome! So much more to come :-)
I'm not keen on the Breyer rider dolls and tend to go for the action figures which are truer to scale, I have a variety of 12th scale dolls and the 1:9th ones that I had to buy from the US, you sometimes see them on Instagram and I have some male wrestler figures which are to the same scale but cant go on horses but make really convincing farriers and for showing in hand. I know its difficult for kids to access other options but l found that the blank 12th scale action figure (Archetypes) are way cheaper if you are willing to get some yarn to give them hair and make clothes. They fit the horses perfectly and have articulated bodies, and different hands so can be made to fit any scene without that "top heavy" look Breyer riders have. I have even found these in 1:28th scale for my CollectA horses. I have subscribed as you are giving some good tutorials in dressing these dolls. I tend to measure my patterns against the doll so if you see the shapes of pattern pieces its not too hard to adapt it. I would say that I tend to use fabric glue the smaller the doll and, if you dont mind not changing their clothing theres some excellent videos on dressing doll house dolls that show how you can make stunning outfits glued to the individual doll.
I agree on the dolls and have a few dolls by professional doll makers. However I want to teach people how to make their own from a source that is easy to come by. And I actually really love my Breyer dolls. I think I have become attached to them over the time I have been working on the channel. They have grown personalities to me - lol. I often glue the clothes directly onto the doll. I actually have a "real" fashion arts degree but working in this size can be quite challenging! In the future I want to make some male fashion dolls for my own collection as mens fashion was my specialty and they look so cool.
Very nice tutorial!
Thank you!!!!

Thanks so much. I thought the saddle video would be out early January but I am not sure when it will be posted. Keep an eye on the Breyer Collector Club information. I will post a link in this video description once it is released!

Where do you get the little metal pieces used for the bit?
All the buckles and bits come from www.riorondo.com
