Love this breakdown. I generally follow the same format: lo-fidelity for sketching/ideating, hi-fidelity for conceptual design and feedback. Not sure hi-fidelity takes any longer than low-fidelity, but I have noticed if the design looks too “finished”...sometimes it doesn’t come across as work-in-progress and people can get hung up on details. In those cases, it’s really important to set context and clarify the status of the design.
Hi Play Piano, thank you for watching. Yes you’re right. With wireframes, you can also decide to go with a low-fi or a high-fi approach. The pros and cons explained in this video are also relevant for wireframes.
Hi Sesan, Alvin here. And thanks for watching 🙏 Traditionally I prefer pen and paper... But since we’ve been doing remote workshops, I’m loving sketching with the iPad and it’s Pencil. I’m discovering the convenience of things like erasing sketch mistakes, making things clearer, the wide range of pen/pencil/brush options/sizes/colours... Simply the convenience. But sometimes, nothing beats the feeling of sketching on paper 😄

Hi Alvin. I have a question. Is wireframe considered as a Low Fidelity Prototype?
very helpful, thank you
Thank you Relicia 🙏

Do you prefer using your tablet for lo-fi design or you prefer using paper and pencil ?
