I lost my grandfather yesterday and this song hits hard. He was so much more to me than just a grandfather, he was a mentor, and a very special friend who was always there for me to listen too, laugh with and share stories with. He was never short of giving all the love he had to his family and friends. Rest in peace Papa York. You truly will be missed.
A boyfriend introduced me to this song for the memory of friends he lost; I found it very beautiful to the many ways this song could be interpreted. Now I sit here happy for the time we shared, sad to our goodbye. I will always think of the good times we shared in place of the tears we had. I hope he remembers I tried to be there for him regardless of what was said. Maybe we will be back again to say Hello? GOD knows he will always have that place in my heart and my friendship forever. I always really liked this band during that era because they seemed to stand out amongst a lot of the bands that flooded the hard rock/ hair metal scene. They were strong musicians and wrote really good songs. When I hear this song it does pull my heart strings and it is sad because to me it was their way of saying good bye to the fans and White Lion. Mike Tramp and Vito Brata knew the band was over after Mane Attraction. The Music world was transitioning fast to the grunge sound and White Lion read the writing on the wall when their music wasn't being promoted like it once was. That song is one big classy good bye from the band telling us about the story of White Lion from the beginning and to the end. The fans they met all over the world and the highs and lows of being in a band. That's why this song is really amazing.

Back in 1981 I was working at a downtown San Diego music store when this Italian guy came in and was super nice to me.., I was trying to sell him a guitar tried to show him some VH but when he took the guitar and played i was amazed like never b4. ...told me how I should hold my pick and asked if I had a guitar teacher.. said I should study classical guiter.. I'll never forget it, he said his name was Vitto. I didn't know who he was.. nicest guy.. hell of a guitar player. One of the best -up there with VH, Rhoads, Hendrix in my book.

Was back in 91, first time heared this song. Felt a little sorrow deep inside as if the band was about to split. Soon came real.
