These girls are brilliant, fresh and innovative.
Saw them live about three weeks ago and a terrific gig.
I hope they make it big.
Fresh?
@@losangulos innovative? I don't think so
I've been missing out on their gigs for quite a while, several friends keep telling me they're great live. For the rest of you commenting, your taste is like your farts: everyone has them and everybody thinks their own smell better. They don't.
Seen this band play in Manchester England I think 6 years ago and they were so amazing live
It's so interesting how things come back around roughly 30 years later. I felt like I had just stepped back into 1994.
Or even longer. Back in the late 70s when punk first got going this was what it sounded like. I only found this band through Jools, and they have such a great mix of competence and chaos, which is so very punk. The difference is back then it was mostly posturing boys.
its what they are aming for
@@sadiqmohamed681 Nonsense . 😂😂😂😂👎👎
Waaaaaay early... like, I can hear Chrissy Hines /The Pretenders influences!
Go-Gos, Bangles, even some "Beatlesque" type stuffs...
Diggin' on'em! 😎🤙🏻
Dunno if anyone cares but if you guys are stoned like me atm then you can stream all the new series on kaldrostream. I've been streaming with my brother during the lockdown xD
Wonderful!!
why so much hate? I think it's sickkkkkk
@MusicalElitist1 fuck you bitch
@@onehandclap101 tbh what did you expect from the blokes username lol
Yeah, you’re right it IS sock i.E. terrible
'This is a pretty good band with clever lyrics when you really listen. They never said they were gonna change the world, so all the haters need to back off.' - John Clay
@MusicalElitist1 ???
Shes so coolllll....like a Jefferson airplane... boa noite from Brazil
means so much to hear music like this nowadays, its fucking sick, its a shame theres so many keyboard warriors but who cares its even better that people don't get it, psychedelic folk punk
Goatzzzzzzz
theyre actually a great band, this just wasn't one of their great performances, tempo was way too fast
I like the performance. It's a good album as well. Not sure why there seems to be so much hate. They could do with looking like they enjoy it a bit more but I guess performing in a studio is new to them.
Oh I'm sure they do smile when they feel like it. I often used to get told to smile at work, whereas male counterparts did not. People seemed to think I should be looking like I was enjoying myself immensely, whereas for male counterparts part of the job description was to look miserable as sin.
It's hard to enjoy a band if they don't look like they're actually enjoying it themselves. Unless you're Joy Division or something, then I'll let them off.
and it's nothing to do with gender. I've often thought American bands look like they're having more fun and have a bit of showmanship, compared to a lot of British bands. That's obviously a broad generalisation
I'm glad it's nothing to do with gender. Trying to look too cool to crack a smile isn't a new thing, plenty of bands have been doing it for a while now. And you know where you can go if you don't like miserable British bands don't you? Bloody nowhere. You can stay here and suffer, in the rain, with the rest of us, and if it's not even raining for once you can whine about that to release some of the pent up misery caused by being so stoic about everything else.
It's too hot at the moment. Just wanted to add that.
is that georgia ellery on tambourine???
Guys. You do know the mixing on this show is usually ass. Actually go and see this band or listen to the album and you’ll see that this is a fucking bop. The whole album is a bop.
These girls are cool as fuck
I like it. I think it's good.
Reminds me of early Jefferson Airplane
comments full of some hate, this is an amazing song
Brilliant! Well done girls! xxx
Ye boiii
What a great band!! I hope I get to see them live soon!
So many rude people on here. I've seen them live, and they are the real deal. I'd rather judge by with my own eyes and ears from a few feet away, rather than come to some judgement based on one song performed on tv.
eclectica1 yeah because live with change the song structure and overall performance and delivery. Cmon that's not an argument
Very true, quality band
Whatever Ginger. I made my point, and I don't take a syllable of it back.
all facts
It’s a public forum.
does anyone know anything about that vox amp front and center? vintage?
Dennis Kelley it's a vox ac15 c1 I guess I own the same in white sounds so good and vintage yes
Benoit Cosner thanks! hard to tell from this video, but i was guessing sounded great and mixed well with the single mic on it. if i had a white amp it would look terrible after a couple of gigs! 😋
I like Naima Bocks solo album
Must be a sale on in Urban Outfitters.
there was
I love you but the lead guitar is a million times too loud.
Fucking love this, can’t wait to come to a gig ❤️
Why people say it's not punk?
I know it's not punk. So I like them.
If the imaginary DNA from 'Nathan Barley' and 'Pingu' were used to build multiple asexual clones, you could recreate this, and more, ad infinitum. Trashbat, yeah?
I swear that's Georgia Ellery from Jockstrap and BC,NR with the tambourine
It's like alternative and garage band and punk all at the same time. Interesting sound.
Come to Brazil, girls!!
brbrhue
I love the bass player 😍
Super cool.
fuck. the tambourine person was really going for it
Sounds just like kings of the new road
Saw them at Knebworth! Zzzzzz
We will never be defeated London Celtic F.C.
👌👌👌👌👌
I think they’re great Art School Cool😎
Got as much punk attitude as tap water
More grunge than punk.
Exactly but she is trying to emulate Courtney Love in her singing.
Courtney Love is fine. Goat Girl were one of the best new bands I discovered last year. Saw them at gig in London where they were support and thought they were great and love their album as well, that's just my take. Generally it's a pity that people seem to jump on any new female musicians and compare them to a handful of icons who are held up as an example of what women in rock should be. The same narrow stereotype is not applied to male musicians. Very little music if any can be classed as even remotely original in the current age, bands like Hole were heavily influenced by what went on before them.
Watch some of her interviews online ..... that's her actual voice
Courtney failed to get a copywrite on her voice.
sound like electrified english folk music
David Fernandez Belden they started on acoustic folk jamming sessions .... There you go
Happy marry anyone of them plus there like my hero jeffrey lewis big thumb up
Punk?? No, definitely not.
katoness what defines punk?
larrysweetlove not country sounds like this band. Does it make you wanna pogo?!!
g man tramp the cramps were prominent in the punk movement with a rockabilly style, why not country
more punk than wank american hardcore shite
Popdroid Musicblog they’re alright

i like the song but tune your godamn guitars
Don't know why people are ripping on this. If you don't like it don't watch, simple. I for one quite like it.
This isn’t...very...good....I’m sorry I just don’t get this. So many problems with it
NOT Ryan Gosling and yet you haven't stated any!
nicbongo well I will then: the vocals are drowsy, they seemed bored out of their brain, they sound drunk in places, the chorus is very unimaginative and pretty boring for me, I like how they stripped the song down in places but at the same time it just highlights that the vocals do nothing for the song, the verses are also way too short making the already pretty bad chorus seem repetitive and too heavily used.
You wanted problems I had with the song? You got it. Bye!
Also many others don’t like this song on thee comments so it’s clear others share my opinions also
NOT Ryan Gosling thanks! That gives something to discuss. I agree, the lead singer has a certain Pete Doherty dreariness, the music too, until the chorus at least where I think it comes more vibrant. I wouldn't go out of my way to buy or listen but I can see the appeal of their Dixie esque rustique. Would probably enjoy it more if I was drunk or something!
NOT Ryan Gosling that may be the case, I just wanted to hear your thoughts. Cheers
Well at least these Myalgic Encephalomyelitis sufferers sort of got out of bed I suppose.
Good song. But punk, whut? 😂
Sounds like Gun Club. Definitely punk.
More home counties jangle-indie...Is Brixton Punk what their PR people told you to write? Hype it to the max, I'm sure the masses will lap it up...more re-invention of tried and tested old shit, I mean.
Some one needs to define punk to this lot
The description comes from the BBC.Not the band.
And FYI, the whole point of punk is it has no definition.
@@nicbongo who told you that shite!!!
theres a good word in portugueses for this.."Carpete"
Stylish but instrumentally poor.
Tune guitars before gig girls remember
All been done before. Courtney Love rip off. A bad rip off. Lightweight Hole. Boring
Sounds nothing like Hole.
Terrible!
Just another boring band
one good thing- bassist is such a babe. that's it
Back to work at Ikea after the show 😛
Punk? More like gunk
You can just tell that all their parents are socially conscious and really care about such issues as carbon emissions. This is the off-spawn of such dickery.
You know them all personally ?
this is not good
FUCK U
I can see why the drummer is wearing eye coverings, she might end up with two black eyes otherwise (bounce, bounce, bounce).
Its alright, but let me tell you, I'm making better music than this.
Lmao where is it then?
What is that on drums?😂😂😂
