Love that you did this video. I saw your comment on that Instagram video of the truck blowing over. I followed the link to this video from there. Very descriptive video you have here and us newbies definitely appreciate this. I was wondering if you could do some more of these videos. I’d love to hear your expertise in dealing with the icy roads in Wyoming. That I-80 creates nightmares (literally) and I’d love to hear your tricks on driving through ice (heavy vs light) and also driving up and down hills in those conditions. Please continue doing these truck videos and sketches. A great way to teach us. Definitely following your channel regardless if you have the time for additional videos. But I (and so many others) would love to hear your tricks and tips to driving on ice and hills in the winter. ❤ stay safe out there. Tell your cat we say hi back 😊
Yes, I've parked this way several times. I learned it years ago before I started jerking doubles, but I never had to do it in those days. Flatbeds are much lower profile and tend to be bottom heavy. This is the correct way to defend your equipment against high winds.
Without a doubt, those triangle are going to blow down in high winds if they're not shielded from the wind. I think you'd be surprised how well they stay put when you shield them, though. Personally, I use flares. I carry the triangles only because the law requires them. I've had to park due to high winds countless times, & I've never had any problems.
Being a new driver and a woman, I appreciate all the info from seasoned drivers especially to stay safe as possible. I saved this video... Thanks 😊

Have you actually had to park this way? Good info. Don't think anybody is doing this.
