These bangles look so gorgeous with a ship load of different sized glitters!!! The only problem is the sizes are way to small for my hands, it’s why I started making my own stuff, I’ve never walked into a shop and fitted a bangle and I love them 😢
Do you need to wear a mask for the fumes? I hear that epoxy resin is stronger and it causes respiratory issues if not used without the proper mask? I used uv resin once for less fumes and I used a mask and couldn't breath for a week. I had my door open and a fan on as well. 😔 any advice?
Please don't learn to make plastic. Our ocean is full of it. Our landfills are overfull of it so much that we all breathe broken down particles of plastic in the air. They prove it in autopsy. Please use stones or glass. For YOUR sake, not mine.
Yes you do suppose to wear a mask. Second you stir your resin longer than a minute, about 2 minutes at least. And you can clean your syringe with alcohol and baby wipes
We used the Silicone Mold and Finding Kit. You can find it here www.jtv.com/product/silicone-mold-and-finding-starter-kit-for-resin-58-pieces-total/JMKIT1245?mcid=XSOjsyt

These bangles are really beautiful, I do feel like I need to also comment on the fact that you didn't wear gloves or a mask, these are essential when using resin. I hear the argument that everyone is different and I know this lady made reference to gloves but then didn't wear them and I think it's important to emphasise the safety aspect in tutorials like this because some people can be very seriously affected by resin in terms of skin damage, breathing issues etc. You should honestly emphasise that resin is toxic until it's fully cured, I'm sorry to criticise but it's too important to just ignore. I love the bangles but the video was rather irresponsible just in my opinion
No offense, but this is supposed to be starter stuff. It's ridiculously priced for beginner items. For tbe cost of this I can buy all the exact same molds, cups, flowers, syringe, and tweezers online, plus 1 gallon of quality resin and have money left over. And the syringe is not 1 time use. Have a cup with 99% isopropyl alcohol ready. Once finished and the syringe is empty. Just put it in the cup and suck in the IP and flush it out. Do it several times to get all the sticky out. Then wipe the outside with a baby wipe. Remove the plunger and set it all on a paper towel to dry for a few minutes. And finally, you gave some incorect information. You ALWAYS want to wear gloves, not might. Every time you get resin on your skin you risk getting contact dermatitis. You said stir about a minute until it gets kindof cloudy? NO, you stir it anywhere from 2 to even 5 minutes depending on viscosity until it goes from cloudy or perfectly CLEAR.
The planet is drowning in used plastic it can't get rid of. Making more plastic is the modern equivalent to making DDT or worse. Its hard to compare it to anything else. Our highways were once paved with tars containing recycled plastics. Once considered a great idea, we now know that roads are like cloth ribbons that we ride down by the tons. And the EPA has determined that microscopic air particulates of plastic are in ALL of our bodies. Its been found in autopsy. Its not a question. The resin you PLAY WITH today, will be a real pain for someone down the line somewhere. Boycott plastic.

Can any cloth fabric be used in epoxy resin?
This is an awesome UA-cam channel
What do you use to buff out the rough edge made from the top of the mold?

Everyone is different, but honestly, better safe than sorry. Just wear one if you have any doubts! Safety first!

No thank you. Move along.
Resin, a pretty word for PLASTIC.
The USA makes 20 tonnes of plastic waste each year, with NOWHERE to put it. #BOYCOTTRESIN

Don't teach kids to wear plastic, please. Teach them right. Teach them natural. Plastic is our enemy. Stop selling plastic.
