Just for your information the main vilian (the gray thing) is RIOT, a parasite that moves from host to host. Wish it had CARNAGE but RIOT is extreme badass.
This reminds me of Black Spiderman in Spiderman 3, similar stuff took over his costume and later on that symbiote transferred to eddie, the photographer. I hope Spiderman linkup will be there in the movie.

If my memory is correct. The moment the symbiote fuse with it's host. It boost the "moral/good/bad/cruel" part of you depending on the host. And the symbiote doesn't have a choice. They seems to evade that and try to do the "the darkness/Parasyte the maxim" route. 2 minds in 1 body. I'm for it !
I think we see all symbiotes aside from Venom in this trailer (the four that make up Hybrid, not counting Scream) Phage (yellow symbiote in the container at the beginning) Riot (the one Venom is fighting) Lasher (the dude that has the symbiote latch to his crotch) Agony (the woman who slashes the Chinese dude in the throat) Maybe we will see Hybrid too, who knows I also think we will see Carnage at the very end as a cameo played by Woody Harrelson, as a teaser for Venom 2.

It's very similar to Upgrade. Thankfully it was released first because it would have a harder time performing at the box office if Venom came out first and had that comparison.
Awesome job. Yeah definitely easy to think back to Upgrade since it was so recent. ALways have to remember This concept and story along with Blue Beetle and other stories might have influenced Upgrade. It's a fun concept to run with.
Jaby should watch "Parasyte" anime. It's the story of parasitic beings one of which is forced into a symbiotic relationship giving the host superpowers. Must watch anime because of the story and depth of characters. It's really short as well.
X-Freak Parasyte came out in 2014... the Venom comics came out in the 90's. They didn't get the relationship from an anime. They got it from the comic books. I highly doubt that either of them influenced each other, they just happen to be similar.
