I try to buy everything Mr. Ackerman puts out; in some cases I buy multiple copies. Someday I hope to see him live and get a book or dvd autographed. Most of his material requires pure skill, years and even decades to perfect. I think I value his 8-volume dvd set of advanced card work the most. I bought it on vhs and found it so valuable that I spent another $300 and re-bought it on dvd. I've studied all the great card mechanics, from Ed Marlo and Dai Vernon to Darwin Ortiz and Steve Forte. But you Mr. Ackerman, you are the greatest card mechanic who has ever lived, period! Lennart Green & Paul Harris also rank very high on my list, but their work has a more surreal bent to it. You are in a class by yourself.
+Mitchell Leary I actually met Allan in Las Vegas at the magic club that was held every Wednesday, He showed me some of his card effects close up and he is the best, most smooth handler of a deck of cards I have ever seen live. There are a couple of effects that he did that literally had me thinking about them for days afterwards, scratching my head and smiling. In fact I am still remembering them to this day about twenty years on.
All three phases of this routine are absolutely well thought out fun creative and use multiple awesome moves. Very impressive Allan.
Masterpiece, glad to see this man working.
What a AWESOME version. I do the Bill Malone Version from his "On The Loose" series. Hell yeah great job, 5 stars.
