Brilliant! It does take time. See some of my other videos too.
At about 3 months in I was seriously thinking of giving it up and a little while after that I began to turn a corner.
I still don't get it right everyday. We do very much make our own luck most of the time, HOWEVER, sometimes you can do all the right things and just have a very bad week...

As Andy said quote the money YOU need for the job and add extra money for quiet areas and out of hours.
    Don't forget that other drivers
Will be bidding cheap if the load is getting them home.
    Merry Christmas to you all.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...OUT OF HOURS too!!! Regarding back loads there are some drivers quoting suicidal prices for backloads - which is in my opinion crazy and unnecessary. I had a backload on Friday that brought me nearly all the way home and while I dropped my bid a little I received a very acceptable fee for it.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES get involved in 'the race to the bottom'.
You will make more money quoting sensibly on backloads and missing out on a few than you will quoting rock bottom and winning them all.
