The funds are required to be applicant's own funds for the applicant to use for supporting living in Finland during the studies. It not, then it's a case of fraudulent residency permit application, which could result into canceling the permit.
Hi , Good morning. I have gotten admission offer from University of Helsinki, Finland. Unfortunately, I was not awarded with scholarship. I'm suppose to pay € 13000 as tuition fee. Is any way to make part payment and I get the visa I can work and pay the rest ??
Hi, Congratulation on your admission. However, I think you need to contact the University and discuss the terms of payment with them. Furthermore, working 30 hours per week and hoping to pay over 6000 euro within 3 to 6 months would be very Challenging.
@@Ucheprisca I am fairly sure that Universities can not negotiate individual tuition fee payment arrangements. Seems that it would go against the principles of having fair admission process. It is good to remember that paying in installments would mean that the requirement for proof of funds for the residency permits for studies application would include that additional amount of the unpaid part of the tuitions fee. So event though the educational institutions wouldn't as the full pay before the study year the funds for the full sum would be requirements in order to get the residence permit.
@@just42tube Affirmative. However, the context of "Discuss the terms of payment" I meant was to ask the University if there are offers such as Early Bird discount where the student could pay half of the total one year tuition fees if they for example pay the tuition fees within two weeks of accepting their study place. That way, the student gets a first year 50 percent tuition waiver and can apply for their RP afterwards.
❤ soo beautiful! Please am curious about settling in Finland, do you consider settling down in Finland long enough to get a Finnish PR or citizenship. What is that special thing for you to consider Finland a home? Am sorry if my question is quite personal, am an intending immigrant for work and am trying for figure out many things on my head. Thanks in anticipation of your response
Hi, like you clearly stated, your question is quite personal. So depending on who you ask, the answer might be a YES or NO. However, If I must say, Finland is a progressive country with strong institutions that are efficient and functional. The health care system is great, education is wonderful. It is so peaceful with strong security and social services. Finally, they have won the happiest country for the seventh consecutive time. Even with the new government's immigration, economic and social policies, I personally think that Finland is worth being considered home IF you are willing to learn the language and integrate properly into the Finnish Society.
@@Ucheprisca Well said sis, thank you so much. I understand the language is a bit of a challenge but am trying to convice myself and whether it worth dedicating to for PR. Thank you so much. I look forward to more of your encouraging videos.

@@odyibuzo8210 People generally understand English, but not all are willing to speak or use it. English is the most studied foreign language in the Finnish school system. So basically everyone has studied it at school. But have they used it after school to achieve fluency, that is not so universally common among older people. The language barrier that definitely exists isn't tied to English skills. It's about Finnish or sometimes Swedish skills.

How is POF arranged for Finland? Should the funds be available for the entire 3 months?
Not necessarily. However, you should have the needed POF in your account and clarify how it got there.
@@Ucheprisca thank you so much for the response

The offered tuition payment rules are available from the University website and also included in the emails to the admitted students.
