5 things I learned:
- you can select and drag multiple clips into the workspace and they will automatically line up
- in order to cut something, you have to go to the spot, press the scissor button, and then delete the part of the clip that you don't want
- right click on a clip to detach the audio from it and do manipulations to the audio
- you can add a title on the titles page in filmora. Just click the add button, and a title will add wherever the film head it.
- next to the titles section, there is a transitions section that allows you to put different transitions between two scenes
Please, can you tell me how to take a section of the video in the timeline, and add it to a new project? eg. I want to take out a section but not delete it permanently , how do i save/keep it?

Kitty Rosetti transitions are simple. If you do the tutorial that Filmora gives you they show you how to do transitions

Great! Unlike Corel videostudio project, there is no playback issue in filmora project. That's why I really like it.

FIlmstocks is what i would love a tutorial from you on. Specifically I need to know how to remove an unwanted effects package which i downloaded from them. My Filmora9 media list is getting so long with Filmstocks downloads, I could use the extra space. No where can i find a delete for some of these transitions, effects or songs. Please help!

I'm following this 'Teachers's Tech' channel for basic editing for various editing software. What I can say that his explanation about the basic control on every editing softwares he do is extremely easy to understand compared to other tutorials. I really recommend you check his channel first before going to learn other tutorials.
Yes, great tutorial, I use FCPX for my Mac, but needed a cheap editor for Windows 10. Your tutorials are easy to understand without having to pause and go back all the time. Thanks.
I am not a person who was aware about editing or related techniques. I always thought that video editing , audio mixing etc. was really difficult tasks, and I was not capable of that. But your video helped me learn all such things and to realise that it is not a herculean task. It helped me to make videos for my youtube channel.

This looks like some really awesome software, and $60 for unlimited access seems totally worth it. I'm currently looking for alternatives to iMovie (honestly getting sick of Apple either over-simplifying their creative apps or removing features from previous versions) and I think you honestly just sold me on Filmora, haha :) Fantastic video, thank you so much!

filmora is pretty awesome
one thing I've noticed though is when you cut it cuts all objects in the line. I didn't know when you overlap two clips it trims the end so thanks for that!
I know this is a 7 month late response and that you could have figured it out already or aren't using Filmora9 but figure I want to let you know just in case. In Filmora9, when you have multiple timelines overlapping and you only want to cut 1 video the look to the right where some of the timeline tools are. there should be a lock that you can select to lock the format of that timeline. This feature allows you to lock all the timelines you want to keep and the cut a video in a different timeline without affecting the locked videos
You can also split a single entity and then delete the part(s) you don't want.

Is it possible to customize the Text or other aspects of an element that you add to your video?
Yes, all of the added in text, titles, lower thirds can all be customized , from font to side to effects of the test, even transparency. I even added in a rolling credit to use as an ingredients list in one of my videos.

Yes this is really annoying! I have the same problem
I don’t really understand what you mean but I will do my best to explain. If you already created a video and want to add something to a part in the video without restarting the move the scissors to the spot you want to add the cut in and add the video to that spot
Click on a open spot on your timeline and move mouse over clips in front of the area you want to add a new clip. (Keep in mind this only works when adding at the end of a clip) right click the selected clips. And select group. Now you can slide all of the clips you grouped down the timeline and create space to add a new clip. Hope this helps!
UnderGround Entertainment I think that their comment was referring to adding something in the middle of a video that is a whole so you would need to cut the video then add your video into the cut part
@@hokus8768 it works the same way cut video group clips to right of where you want to add then drag them down the timeline now you have space

I need help! In the video I'm editing, when I watch it in the spaced out view (editors view) everything runs smoothly; but when I watch it in full view my transitions lag and it cuts off audio with it too. In the middle of the transitions it skips a second or two and I don't know why.. Help!!
