I do appreciate that some venders won't make changes without having the contract amended (with signatures) or a new contract made. Anyone supplying anything for weddings would be nuts to allow changes without a password or seeing the couple in person.
No changes would be made without the couple signing off of them ❤ there is a lot of paperwork required for a date change. Not sure what this mother in law was thinking 😅
I don't think she's a narcissist. I rather believe she is just so dependant on her son because she fears to be lonely and no one needs her anymore after the son moves out and marries. Ofen happens, mostly to women whose husbands are already dead or divorced. My grandma got depression and suicidal thoughts after my mom and her brother moved out. Never gotten better since that, needs to take anti depressants forever
😂I love my son and my daughter but the whole point of raising them is to prepare them to succeed in life. My son got married last year and I love DIL! She takes very good care of my son, and he takes care of her! That’s all you should pray for, someone to love your child and bring out the best in them.
"you don't have kids so you don't know what it's like" has got to be the go to line of every narcissistic parent out there. The moment any parent feels like saying that is the moment they should stop be their acting like a Karen.
Not every parent as dependant as her is a Karen or a narcissist. Some people just need to feel useful and needed. That stops after their kids move out and marry. This is a feeling that not every person will encounter but many do. My grandma needs to take anti depressants forever because she got depression and suicidal thoughts after her kids moved out
"Can't you just change the date?" "Well, first I need to check the venue and vendors are all available on the new date. Secondly, I need to calculate the cancellation fees from each vendor for the original date, all of which you'll be paying, won't you, Patricia?"
In terms of the cake... should've been like "Oh I can put that where it goes for you," and then ask the groom if you can give it to the staff as a treat lol.
I'm not so sure I would trust that something isn't off with that cake. If the mother went so far as to attempt to change the wedding plans and bring a cake, I wouldn't put it past her to put something in the cake to disrupt the honeymoon in some way.
Why does everyone see them as narcisstists? Some people just wanna feel needed and useful in life and that ends when their kids move out. Can end in depression and suicidal thoughts, too. Ever thought about that?
@@dying2survive298 Yeah and why did she say that? In hope that he will remember her being always there for him, remember her loving him and caring for him no matter what happens to his marriage or to himself. She doesn't wanna be alone, seems to me like she went through a horrible divorce herself and has no one to turn to but her son. Often kids seem to forget about their parents once they moved out. She wants to prevent that from happening. But surely you won't ever change your mind no matter what perspective I show you
I didn't know that some people would like to have their kids wedding on their birthday. Last year, I married on my dad's birthday. It was the day before our anniversary and our anniversary was already booked. So we asked beforehand, if it was okay for him. He wasn't too eager but he agreed since we had a personal reason and he wasn't having a major birthday. It still feels a bit weird to share the day because I don't want to "overpower" his birthday in the future.
My friends grooms x girlfriends new boyfriends cousin tried to get her wedding cancelled. Im not even joking. We found out about it because the cincher. They were getting married at the hotel he was the event planner for. So he answered the call when it dealt with a wedding. The guy pretended to be him, went through the entire thing, the groom just thought "lets see how stupid they are" and went along and "oh no" wouldn't you know the price is higher since its being changed to a PRIME time. Well they had to pay the price and they said they could. The groom filed identity theft because the account they used to pay was actually His. He didnt even know anyrhing about who it was he just thought someone was being a dumba$$. When he learned who it was from the family of the ex. (He was close with her brother) He was surprised and had a good laugh. The ex is one thing, but the cousin of the new boyfriend was insane. And why would they think it would work? Bcause the ex knew his job it wasnt a new one. She knew where he worked. Lol
My grandma always wanted to feel needed and therefore got depression and suicidal thoughts when her two kids moved out. I can see why this mom does that, although it feels very weird. Maybe her husband and her got divorced way before that or he even died, what makes her feel lonely without her children around. People always have a reason for their behaviour, you just need to figure thta out so you can help them stop that. Not all people are narcisstists just because they do act a little weird or dependant on others. A narcissist would never say that someone is their world to them, that's way too positive for them to say
As the mother of a 19-year-old young man I've always told him I love him unconditionally but he should not love me unconditionally. One day I hope he finds someone he loves more than me. He deserves that. This is disgusting. Women like this are disgusting.
“I am his world he is mine” Me: ma’am your not marrying your son are you ? If so then we need to move this party to Alabama. oh your not. Then you need to talk to the W.I.F.E. And get her to clear it with her. By bye.” 😘
Grooms be honest. You've given in to mummy all your life Be a man ! Or be stuck with her for life Love cannot overcome a sonny boy and his momny . When my dad picked my mom,and they grew up together , my grandma, his mother found out she threatened to " jump out a window " . My mom, from Brookkyn replied , " yeah, she lives in a basement apartment .
This is why some venues set up a password/phrase with the people in charge of planning.

I came here to recommend this.
After lying to change the wedding date, mother in-law would find herself uninvited. Got to stop the nonsense at the beginning.
this is next level on the narcissists codependency scale
Isn't it JUST !

I want to see the talk with the groom when his mother interupts the cake cutting

Some people are really are completely narcissistic 😬
You would definitely see it all in that line of work

Wow, some mother-in-law’s. I’m really enjoying watching your videos.
I feel sorry for that couple. They’ll have to end up going no contact with that crazy mama.
"Now, where can I put this cake." Correct answer: "Bend over and I'll show you!"
😂
Uninvited. And if the husband to be doesn't agree, the wedding date might be canceled, instead of moved.
Go ahead and convince the MIL that all have changed the date.
Just bring her cake in the kitchen and have all the staff eat it before the actual wedding cake comes out. 😂
My mom was never like that with my brother when he got married, thankfully.

Well, that's the thing...she wants to claim their anniversary every year. She wants to make sure their special day ends up being about her.
