Another good video. Esme and Simon sure are gentle companions. Can Am seems like a very capable machine. I like the way you don't abuse your equipment. Arkansas
Hi.....I have a few questions that I hope you wouldn't mind answering for me. I am looking to purchase a Defender and debating a bit on configuration of my unit. Is there anything about your setup that you would do differently....i.e 4 dr version, spare tire, AC, lighting, stock tires, full skid plates, auxiliary battery, roof rack? I would be a bit concerned going out alone, I hope you carry an inreach communicator?
Sure thing Mark - The only think you need to make your mind up on when deciding is cab or no cab. The factory installed cab is much better (and a lot cheaper) than adding it later. The cab version comes with the heater/AC already built in (2020 models). I do like the rear rack I have and its worth the extra $$, I'd also add the middle storage bin (under seat). I added my own light bar ($50). Winch comes as standard (4500lb Super Winch) - but I replaced the cable with synthetic (absolute must!). The 3 seat version is fine for 2 adults and 2 dogs 😄 - or lots of room for 1 and 2 dogs. I don't mind being alone - and have lots of backup plans for when/if things go wrong! 😉 Hope that helps!
Good outing! Those kids are lovin' every minute of the time out there with ya. Nice seeing both of 'em getting to come along. Nice, capable rig... plenty comfy. Note to self... bring the chainsaw. LOL
Love it! Isn't it awesome to listen to the frogs..so relaxing. .I keep my window open a bit at night. .the Symphony the frog and their chorus sing put me right to sleep. ....the terrain looks so different with no snow there...glad to see all are well! Take care till next time!
Cool video Michael...Hope your good mate :-) 2 videos in 24 hrs and a New Channel coming up soon :-) Nice one mate, definitely be subscribing to that channel too :-)
Hi Michael, It looks you, Simon, and Esme had a wonderful an relaxing time! I love the terrain and watching your use of equipment and the Can-Am. Thanks so much for your wonderful videos.
Looks like it was a very relaxing laid-back trip. The stable building was pretty cool. I’m going on weekend number eight camping in the yard. All of our campgrounds are closed until mid July. I managed to do a little fishing last weekend caught some steelhead in a few bluegill. Cheers MICHAEL. Glad to see Simon out on more of these outings.
Thats great that you are still heading out - Closed to July! wow! 😔 But I bet the fishing was great - I want been once this year yet! 🤔 Hope you are staying safe! Best wishes Michael, Esme & Simon! 🐶🐶
Hi Michael ! For a split second when you crossed that deep water section down the hill I had a flash back of the... argo! It's obvious that the Canam is way more user friendly, but an argo just has something unique about it. Mine is an older 1988 Magnun 8x8 model and every time I feel like trading it for a newer atv with tracks....I back out, afraid I might regret it. Glad to see you back on trail with the superstars enjoying the beautiful and relaxing outdoors. Take care !!
The Argo would be great in this situation! I do miss it for somethings but the Can Am is way more functional for travelling around the bush. I might pick up another one in the future but it will be an older one perhaps. 😉
Somehow I missed this when it first came out, although I am subscribed. I thought you'd be needing the Argo there, a few times. Good constellation night shots. Don't know their names, though. Always good to see Simon with Esme. Sometimes they explore together; sometimes apart...
Enjoy your outdoors and cam am defender. I love being by myself in the woods , did a lot of camping (was in Boy Scout till I was 17 ) now I am 74 years old and don’t camp because of taking care of wife. So its so nice to be able to experience your trips.
Thanks so much for the kind comment! I'm a firm believer that if more people camped and did outdoor things at a younger age like you obviously did - that people would care more for the environment. I'm glad my trips bring some enjoyment 😊 Maybe in the future you can slip away for a quick camp 😉 My father (82) is a caregiver also and I know that it a tough job! 👍 I'm sure your wife appreciates all your efforts!
I think that's the Manfrotto Mount for Universal Cell Phone - With a SMALLRIG 9.8 inch Adjustable Power Articulating Magic Arm as I recall. Howeverm, check out the Pedco UltraClamp as this is much more stable. 👍
This is a re-uploaded video from my second channel ATV & UTV Camping!
So, you ALWAYS do ATV camping. Why a new channel?
@@hermit6208 My thoughts as well...
Ill explain in a channel update shortly! 😉
@@TheEmporiumOutdoors Based on what other UA-camrs I follow are going through, I'm guessing it's an experiment with the algorithms.

Esme is such a diva..has to have a bed. Old Simon just picks a sunny piece of grass and crashes...lol.
Yup - Thats sums them up perfectly! 😄
I really appreciate your style of featuring product info. Looks sharp and is very helpful. Great video. Thanks for the adventure!
Thanks so much! 👍

Sorry, I have two more questions. How is the ride on the shorter wheel base and is there significant vibration with the tracks on.
Hello Michael, Esme and Simon, looks like nice weather for camping. I hate those bugs though. Hope you have wonderful time. Hugs, Janet
Thanks Janet - Not too many bugs yet - but soon will be 🦟😔
Good outing! Those kids are lovin' every minute of the time out there with ya. Nice seeing both of 'em getting to come along. Nice, capable rig... plenty comfy. Note to self... bring the chainsaw. LOL
Hahaha - The saw gives me some exercise at least! 😉

Thanks David! You can thank the UA-cam algorithm for that I bet!! 🤔 The Argo would have been perfect and fun - but the CanAm got it done anyways 😉

I miss the Argo. Not many good UA-cam videos featuring them.
Yea - It has its place but.....They are over priced and only excel is certain situations. I might pick up another one in the future.
Hello! Just checking in with with the kids ! Hope all is well! Stay safe my friends!
Thank you! You too! 👍
Great Video! Do you have link to the cell phone holder attached to passenger grab bar? Thanks!

I’ve always enjoyed the music on the videos and wondered if you could share the artist info.
Hi Vincent - they are all part of the UA-cam music library - Just take a look in there. Its a great selection for videos!
Thanks for sharing your overnighter with the two cutest camping buddies ever! :)
Thanks Jacqueline! 🐶🐶
It would be great to hear a preliminary review of the defender including any initial problems you have had. Great channel.
Coming soon! 😉
How can people thumb down these videos??? Great as always! Nice to see Simon out there too!
Good question! LOL trolls gonna troll! 😉
Yes!! Out in the Lunar Roving Vehicle.
Yup - and it goes in water too! 😉
@Grizzy Bear no, no. This is NASA designed. No Tesla involvement.
looks like fun to me
Certainly was! 😉
I am being told that the doors on the canam don't close or seal well over time. Are you noticing that?
Hi Mark - Not so far. Mine seem fine!
Hey Michael great video as always still the next adventure 😀
Glad you enjoyed it! Take care Nancy! 😉
Can't beat a wet ride.
Hehe 😉
13:57 - the dogs keep me coming back...
Thanks! 🐶
Engine snorkel comes to mind.
They would be nice - but this is rare for me - Besides if it gets over my shoes in the cab its too deep 😄
i need mirrors for my 2021 defender limited, where did you get yours?
Mine are Can Am mirrors from the dealer - Not cheap but they fit well 👍
That stable needs love but could make a nice cabin to stay in .
And you spoke of it having a lot of history.
I'm all ears , fill me in plz 👍
Sure thing! I'll put some info together and provide the back story! 😉
Good to see Simon out as well, that defender is nice
Thanks buddy!

Thanks, you too!
Great video. Thanks a lot !!! Enjoyed it very much !

Hello Esme and Simon
Hi Melissa! Thanks for watching! 👍
It’s great to see the three of you together again, that can am seems to be a fine machine
Thanks Ben!

Its around the Edson area! 👍
