Great job on the book, its very readable and covers everything. Originally i thought i would just copy your design but after reading it i feel confident enough to make some changes. I will wait and see how the project develops, but in the meantime i need to build the video circuit myself to see if i can live with 80 x 25 or if i come to the same conclusion you did.
Jerry, will this computer also be able to use 3.5-inch "floppy" drives? When will your _next_ book covering DMA, floppy drives, etc., be released? 2025 perhaps?

Yes I had expected some fault finding although the DMA is very complex so it will most likely provide some fun.
@@JerryWalker001 I didn't catch what you are using, but I am very familiar with the 8237. I assume something similar.
@@john_in_phoenix Absolutely not. The aim of this project is to avoid the use of LSI devices where possible so the DMA system is a discrete design.
