- Morocco keeps dishing out the pleasant surprises and the Park4Night App has been consistent in showing some AMAZING places to stay from the 'wild ones' to the occasional official site....BUT by far the best for all-round immersive experience? Well that's got to be the family homes that welcome you to join them for the real deal!
This week we have Berber hospitality delivered in droves as we stay on a farm, grab some musical instruments and jam hysterically (even if badly) with the locals before eating the nicest dinner so far on this journey.
Traveling through N'Kob, Agdz to Ouarzazate, there were plenty of Medinas and souks to see so a visit to the shops was always going to happen and shopping in Morocco is something else!

Quick question. Is it true that you can't use debit/credit cards and its all cash?
Are there cash machines or did you exchange at Tangiers?
Also, what is the exchange rate at the moment? Hope you didn't mind me asking... Thanks 💚💚🙏🏻
It’s predominantly cash yeah…But, some of the bigger, more modern petrol stations take cards and also the Carrefour Supermarkets (one of the very few places you can buy booze). *Beer is also a good negotiating currency. I guess many of the more modern & larger shops in the cities might too but so much of the country is rural & isolated and most of your day to day spending will be in tiny little convenience stores so you’re most likely to be only using cash - Even the tolls & police fines (They do love a radar speed trap! *150 Drh a pop if they write you up a proper ticket or 100 Drh if you get lucky & it goes in their pocket 😉) The police are super polite & friendly to us foreign visitors & although there are check points everywhere you go, they’ll typically just wave you on through. 100 Drh is about £8. There’s no shortage of cash machines in the towns and the first ones are all in a row at the port when you arrive. The country & its ways take a little adjusting to but once you settle in, it’s fabulous!
Oh, and STOP signs, definitely stop your wheels at a STOP sign! 🤭

Hi loving the Moroccan trip we are thinking of doing the same trip but having bad time of getting insurance to be covered in Morocco. Would you have any advice of where to get insurance and roughly how much if you don’t mind me asking.been in touch with Sterling and they are asking way too much. Keep up the good work over there.
I’m afraid not Peter, we just had to roll the dice with the 3rd party cover from the port. Repairs are CHEAP, just don’t total your van 😬🤭
