Just got these for 90 bucks paired with the Novablast 3 for the same price in a deal online. Feel I’ve done a good deal after watching this. Thanks for the informative video!
I went with the Saucony Triumph 20 for this category, and they are legendary. Like a more plush endorphin speed... you can sit back and knock off comfy KMs, or get on them a bit and they have a surprising amount of energy return!
I have found max cushioned shoes excellent for protecting your legs, especially if you are a mature runner. I use the Nike Invincible Zoom X and have done 400 miles in mine so far and they are just beginning to shows some signs of wearing out, mostly on the uppers near where the laces are tied as this area must get clipped by the heal of the other shoe when running. Good job I have a spare pair standing by.
Just received my new pair of Invincible V2 (40% off) to eat up miles ahead of and into my spring marathon block. Had thought about the NB More, but once I saw that discount and my experience with ZoomX in the AlphaFly V1, it was a done deal.
@@jakutz If I could get another pair of Invincible V2's I'd grab another pair. Current pair are closing in on 700KM, and are only used on recover runs. Everything I saw about the Invincible V3 turned me away from it (heel lift issues). Still haven't tried a NB More version. I just find NB in general uninspiring.
I have the more V4 , and love it. I love higher cushion shoes, but this one is so far my favourite. I would like to see the shoe lose some weight though, as this could be a non plated, max stack marathon shoe for some people. (yes I known they have the SC trainer) It would be good if they could combine the road contact fresh foam form the beacon with the Fresh foam X from the More V4, with the upper of the rebel.
I've done 1000km in the More V3 and love wearing them to protect the legs. The invincibles definitely feel more unstable especially if you live in hilly areas but they're enjoyable on the flat.
These work well for those days when you just get lost, no watch, maybe just headphones. But just pure running. Also these are the first max cushioned shoes that worked for me on the treadmill. But, I bought the wide. On the first two runs they pressed on my midfoot but I eventually broke it in. I have super wide feet (should have chosen swimming as my hobby)
Yes, I have a recovery shoe & it’s the Nike Zoomx Invincible version 1, which a recently bought for $95 U.S. I wouldn’t spend more than $130 dollars for it, though. In fact, I wouldn’t spend more than $170 on a shoe w/o a plate. Been wanting to try the More V4, but I feel like the Nike meets all of my recovery needs. I don’t use a recovery shoe until I’m training for marathons & I increase my mileage. My “serves all purposes” shoe would be the Saucony Ride 15. That’s what I use on my easy runs when I’m not training for a marathon.
So I bought the V4 at a discount (got them at 99$) and for that price is worth the money. However, it comes nowhere near the Invincible (which I own 2 pairs and use them all the time), neither in comfort, nor in the energy return. I felt slow like a walrus with the NB, compared to the Nike, honestly. They do look fantastic though so I will use them as walking shoes. One more point - they are indeed very stable - but I prefer "unstable" shoes, like the Invincible, because they accomodate any kind of angle you'd want to put your foot in. And it works better your stability muscles on the calves.
Thanks for this video. As a more v3 user which I really enjoy. As you say it’s an easy long distance shoe. Interesting to see the difference in the sole from v3. I found the 3 super comfy. I enjoy the super soft shoes for easy runs
Just bought invincible from Nike for €94. €50 to big a difference. Surprised no offers even on v3 on new balance. I’ll be looking out for you in Valencia on parts were we run in opposite directions. First away race since Rotterdam 2014
I have the Invincibles but I hate that the upper knit start to separate from the midsole, apparently I saw many people having this problem too and posted it on Reddit, definitely buying the More v4 during Christmas deal
I just put in a claim with Nike for my V2 exhibiting this issue after only 3 months of use. Very disappointing. My v1 did the same but only after 2 years.
i have the nike invincible 1 and i think the stability is what gave me problems in my ankles and possibly knee. Haven't ran in the Bondi's in at least 5-6 years, but the early iterations worked really well for me at the time. I'm considering this New Balance shoe
As a 1967 baby and a runner of 200+ miles every month ( never a day off) I do appreciate a softer ride at times . Too soft and they bottom out after a few miles .
I was using this shoe and would have to agree that it’s difficult to pick up the pace. But no regret using it on super easy day runs and ever since I moved to max cushion shoes, I have lesser injury compared to days when I was running with those barefoot shoes.
i just bought this shoe recently and it's very good for zone 2 training and not so good at more speedier workouts but it can handle a bit of speed and also the outsole already started to wear down especially the road im running in is either cement or pavement i already ran 100 miles in it and honestly it's a good shoe for daily
I bought both the v4 and the invincible zoomx on BF sale. Truly love the Nikes, the upper could be better but all right I guess. Excited to try the v4, the v3 is a bit firmer than the Nikes and not even close to as bouncy. Great video, have a great day
Came over to the v4 from the ASICS Nimbus 25. And so far it’s great - little roomier in the toe box. Cushion feels slightly less squishy and more springy than the ASICS.
Honestly only ever ran 12k so far and soon as you said 35k in them i was like wow good enough for me, im just looking to run along side my weightlifting in the gym
I overpronate slightly on my right foot. I had 2 pairs of Invincible v1. Loved them, put 900km on the 2nd pair and wore right through the soles to the midsoles. But as they became worn out, my right knee started to complain. I thought, well they are pretty knackered, so I recycled them and bought some new v2s . Knee was still not happy. It seems my joints have taken against them! Currently doing my day to day running in a pair of Saucony Tempus, which are lightweight, stable, not super soft, but definitely a very smooth ride. Much better than so many clunky plodding trad stability shoes. Happy to pick up the pace too; just a little high-stack for all out speed stuff 👍
I ended up loving the Nike Invincible versions one and two. I tried the NB More 4 and it felt like having wood blocks on my feet. The NB shoe was much less cushioned then the Nike Shoe.
I'm looking to get back to running. I'm a very large runner 5'10 255. Was training for half marathon in 2019 and sprained an achiles on some stairs. So need a good cushion while shedding some weight
I just got the More V3 for $59. For some reason it makes the arch side of my feet a bit uncomfortable. I didn't notice it much on both my 10 mile runs until I started to stand on the shoes for a long time (wearing it out casually). Hoping I need to break it in but if not, I guess I can use it for short walk with my dog. Guess I'll try the V4 when it goes on sale at my local NB outlet. I think I'll stick with my Novablast 3 TR and SC trainer.
I’m stuck on whether to choose these or go for what Ben is reviewing. Both are on sale right now and only £40 difference. I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been (18st) so looking to get back into some road/country road runs but so stuck on which would work best for me. How have you found the nimbus 26 so far?
@Ben parkes What shoe would you suggest for a road based ultra (50k)wanting something super plush with lot's of support. Is the More V4 this type of shoe
I currently have... Asics nimbus 25, 26, NB 1080 v12, v13, Adidas Boston 12, Altra Via Olympus 2 and just got the More V4. The nimbus is stiff, the newer one has a nice upper but they all run small and narrow and tight in general. Asics 4E isn't even close to a 2E in NB. 26 is for sure more comfy but the toe rocker and stiffness ie lack of flex, annoys me. and they just don't fit well, even in 4E. The 26 is clearly the better shoe but I can't really use either one. The Boston I can't even wear. I gave it to my kid. The 1080 V13 is really nice and comfortable, cool shoe but one major issue... the midsole in the heel is so squishy and soft that it 100% feels like it goes into negative drop and hyperextends the knee. They are already a low drop shoe, which I prefer but it's very disconcerting. Not for running but just standing around. You could get used to it, but I find it off putting. The v12 isn't the most mega or best anything but it's just an all around solid good shoe. High recommend it.. Very flexible, it has the least midsole of any of these but cushion is quite nice, however the upper is nowhere near as plush as the v13 or new nimbus tho. The Altra.. another boat of a shoe like the nimbus. Imagine the nimbus 26 but much softer cushion with no drop (vs 8 mm) and it actually fits a fat foot with room leftover. it's stiff asf but it has an annoying toe rocker to make up for it. The most forefoot cushion I've ever seen. Overall very comfy and quite plush. iMy first Altra and it's the most non Altra Altra basically but I like it and I'd try others for sure. Now to get to my point... the MORE v4.It's better than any of the above. this is the most comfy and stable shoe of the lot. Somehow it's not stiff and it doesn't have any annoying rocker in the toe. Low drop. Really amazing shoe. Downside is the upper isn't on the same level as the 1080v13 or nimbus 26, or the bondi based on what I've heard. Its still worth every cent. I really want to try the Kaiha road, but I have to save some money to get it. I've heard it's very similar to the more but even more plush. I'm all about the comfort, cush and plush. Life is too short. But it also has to be fit and should be stable. I'd also like to try an Altra Torin 7 but again I gotta save for it. Any suggestions would be great. I just wish the shoe companies didn't constantly change everything all the time. It's tedious asf. I've never owned Nikes in my life but I'd be open to trying it. Havent tried Hokas yet either.
Very very helpful thankyou, I've been looking at reviews I am really undecided which shoe to get, the more v4, 1080v12 or the bondi8. I think this review answers that thankyou. Is it true to size or should i get a size bigger?
Not a massive fan of max cushioned shoes. I often feel like I'm pushing off into the shoe rather than into the ground (if that makes sense?), so I prefer to go with an all-rounder and a faster shoe
My job is running around in a parking lot 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I walk the equivalent of 7-9 miles a day which is equivalent to 20-23 thousand steps a day. Would you recommend the New Balance More v4 to me? I need a shoe that can take a lot of abuse and at the same time can be really soft and squishy, because I'm on my feet all day. Also, what kind of socks should one wear with this shoe. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
In general the toeboxes in NB are much better than Nike and Hoka. Unless you from childhood have deformed feet, always using narrow footwear with a heel-lift, that ruins the efficiency of your calfmuscles as well. I would always go for a NB in width E.
Hello, good afternoon. Forgive me if I ask you a question. I have the foot exactly 27,5 cm long, and the foot is normal width, a little thin , that with the asics I go with the 45 European, which is 28,5 cm. I am looking at all the places and each one says something different. With this sneaker the more v4, which number do I have to catch? The 44 which is equivalent to 28 cm, or the 44.5 which is equivalent to 28.5 cm to go well? If you can help me I would be very grateful because I’m eating my head. thank you very much. Sorry for my English 😅
I tend to love nb soft shoes for the first 150 miles then find their softer foams just compress too much and leave me feeling that I want more durable midsole compound for the price. I weigh 200 lbs and am 6’1” so quite a bit larger than most reviewers but hope to bring up that the softer midsole frsh foam x might not last as long ?
That's interesting. I'm 5"10 and 220lbs. I used to powerlift, so I'm very muscular. I'm at 250 miles so far on my mores and they still feel as good as new.
Great video, I prefer a more all round shoe. I use the peg 39 and 1080 v11 as my daily trainers currently and this includes easy/ recovery runs! That said, I just bought the More Trail V2 for a couple of upcoming long ones!
No, I don‘t like those max cushioned, heavy and bulky shoes. A regular trainer like the Puma Velocity Nitro 2 gives enough cushion and protection and is a lot more versatile.
is important to be honest, this is a really bad shoe, when you put the shoes on your feet it feels as if the foot/ankle rotates outwards, it is objectionable to say that these are good shoes. No other shoes I've come across have this problem. I've been running for over 30 years, so shoes are something I'm good at. I ran 110-120km a week.sent the shoes straight back.Hoka is the brand with the worst quality, wears out after 200-300km, broken heel. Many customers complain about Hoka Bondi 8's quality. The shoes feel like I'm being sucked into the asphalt. I've run over 1000km with them. They in the shop say that some Hoka models can't even stand gravel!
Problematic shoe because it’s such a low drop, toe box is too wide and if used too much will cause numerous issues like plantar fasciitis. Soft shoes like this can be very dangerous if used too much.
Outdoor GB selling these for £103.75. Use code "THANKYOU10" for a 10% discount. Works out to £97.35 including delivery. I just bought a pair and they are great 👍.
I don’t like max cushion shoes but my knees do.

All Nike shoes have a 2 year warranty, start up a chat on their web page and they'll want a photo and you'll pretty much get a no quibble refund.

How's the v4 compared to invincible
@@paulh6101 i like the midsole of the invincible more, more cush and more bounce.
NB fuel cell is great, the fresh foam is more “dead” in my opinion
But the upper on the v4 is better, but once I’m running I rarely think about the upper
I love the invincible and uses it for all kind of sessions. Am the type that would love to have just one training shoe and another one just for race.

I really love my Nike Invicibles. Just bought a second pair. The 1st one is ready for retirement.

Nice review 👍 I would like to try 1080 instead..

De qué color son los tenis con los que apareces corriendo?
If theres all tht room in the toe box shouldn't people downsize but get a wider fit?
If comparing with invincible 3 which one will be the best shoes.
heavy runner here.., I like what I saw
Over 700 happy km on the More V3. What is actually the pace were you start felling is too fast for the V4?

I got the V3 and i do like them quite a lot. Definitely can't go fast in them though.
These running shoes lasted only 6 months until the upper tissue teared close to the front sole. Don't advise it.
Just ordered the more v4 for 200$ for long hospital shifts
Taxes killing me
Great review mate. Just what I was looking for. Read my mind :)
Hi, I really really like this. Tennis shoe cushion is fantastic.
I'm too old to run, but got these for walking. Anybody else walking in these?
Is the more V4 more cushiony than the 1080 V12?
yes! :-)
How about energy return?
Great video, I prefer a more all round shoe. I use the peg 39 and 1080 v11 as my daily trainers currently and this includes easy/ recovery runs!
That said, I just bought the More Trail V2 for a couple of upcoming long ones!
Well a Can still beat you with my barefoot
Can I run 3:40 in 1km with this shoes
No, I don‘t like those max cushioned, heavy and bulky shoes. A regular trainer like the Puma Velocity Nitro 2 gives enough cushion and protection and is a lot more versatile.
beautiful shoe
U look like an ex footballer Benny!! Did you play in the Championship??
I have more v3
is important to be honest, this is a really bad shoe, when you put the shoes on your feet it feels as if the foot/ankle rotates outwards, it is objectionable to say that these are good shoes.
Would love a review of some barefoot running shoes. 🏃♂️
No I don’t like overly soft high stack shoes. I enjoy the Endorphin Shift for my easy runs.

5:00.. kee kee is out of there
Problematic shoe because it’s such a low drop, toe box is too wide and if used too much will cause numerous issues like plantar fasciitis. Soft shoes like this can be very dangerous if used too much.
Should I use this or nimbus 25 for daily all day use? These are half the price
@@achyutkeshinisudan4942 spend the cash and get the Asics Superblast. It will replace a need for a speed shoe and a daily trainer.
Outdoor GB selling these for £103.75. Use code "THANKYOU10" for a 10% discount. Works out to £97.35 including delivery. I just bought a pair and they are great 👍.
