God bless him. Great interview! He had a horrible childhood and a hard life, but look at him now. And I can't believe he's 75 years old here. He looks like he's 25 years younger! He looks so healthy! How are those things possible after the hard life he had? He's such a likable, pleasant guy! You know....I started not to watch this because it was so long, but then I decided I would just watch bits and pieces of it and skip some parts. I wound up watching the whole darn thing because he's so interesting and has such an amazing story to tell. Of course, the fact that he was one of my singing idols growing up had a lot to do with my interest in him. If I only had a dollar for every time I harmonized with this man, I'd be rich. TDN was one of my favorite groups growing up and I had nearly everything they ever did. All the guys were super singers, but Chuck was otherworldly. The notes he could hit with such ease weren't even human! I never heard anyone sing like him back then, and certainly since then. And that mustache he used to have.....best 'stache in history! 😄 Love ya, Chuck! I'm so happy for you!

Chuck you take the downers for sleep, then realized if you just stayed up a little longer, you felt pretty nice lol. Hence the addictive part. Then mixing it with uppers and you are every which way but up mentally. Then mix it with barbiturates and alcohol, lights out upstairs. Someone's home but it aint you. So glad you found your way to sobriety and I hope anyone reading this can take from Chuck's story, the stories below, and realize that serenity and feeling great doesn't come from an outside source or chemicals. It absolutely comes from within and it does work.

TDN's music of the melding of all their individual voices is timeless. So many songs were killed by over playing on Am radio , but their music never gets old. Like the Eagles, TDN will long be enjoyed by people who have not been born yet long after they are gone. My favorite album was live at the forum, long live Three Dog Night, as even live seeing them myself in the day, was very enjoyable. Thanks to you all, and you tube playing your concerts.

What a great interview. The material and information you were able to get out of Chuck was astounding. What a way to get an artist to open up. I’ve been in the music business for 48 years (ever since my first concert - Three Dog Night 1972) and was impressed. I’ve seen the band 10 times and knew Jimmy Greenspoon personally. I’ve also read all of their books. Most of what I heard here was new to me. Nice job.

I read two of Chuck’s books. This interview is very telling of how he developed into the man he became. So much adversity. Chuck put in a lot of effort into his basketball playing and singing. His early life with his mother, wow. It is so important that a child have a good, loving family life in their early years. It has been said by four years old, the basic personality of a child is formed for life. I am so happy Chuck is a Christian believer. I always enjoy Chuck’s singing.
