Great drive! Nice come back post spin (which I am guessing was due to a "nudge"). Question; clutch (w blip) on down shifts?
Thanks Chris! Yes, I had a little help to initiate that spin. I am not using the clutch on upshifts or downshifts, only to get the car rolling from a stop.
Did you just buy this car and race it cause funsies? Are you on a team with sponsors and whatnot?
True grit! So tough to come back from behind after such a disappointing start.
nice driving, greetings from the Netherlands :)
I am no expert at all seems like open wheel cars up to formula atlantic ,Indy cars even wing sprint are pure race cars speed up slow down turn go. other like sedans and sports cars are day to see the auto races. thanks for ride view.
Didn't cheat as well as the ones that out ran you at the end. You got to be a really good cheater to run up front in SCCA.
I'm going to highly disagree with you on this comment. We qualified 2nd for this race with a 100% legal car. The winner of the race gets their car completely torn down to ensure its legality. There were a lot of high quality drivers in this field and in SCCA, many who may go on to become professionals. Anyone cheating and not caught only has to look themselves in the mirror. Thank you for watching.
Heck of drive - I see you went back and forth between holding third and (short) upshifting into 4th going into 12 - which did you think was better? Also looks like later in the race you were attacking the curbs in the 7 on complex - how did the tires stand up?
It was dependent on my run out of 10 and if I had a bit of a tow coming through 11. Sometimes I was just going to run out of revs in 3rd. The tires were fine from using the curbs through the 7-8-9 complex. Using these curbs were a big part of a fast sector through that section.
