Jb Carona Actually in that picture, the iPhone does a better job in terms of HDR just look again and you’ll see that the blue color of the sky is blown out and closer to white in the pixel compared to the iPhone and the white thing on the right of the iPhone is just a cloud ☁️

iPhone doesn't "take the cake" in video shooting. There are areas where both cameras are better than the other in video shooting. Pixel is miles ahead of iPhone on video stabilization as it combines OIS with EIS (Google has fixed the "jerky" thing in the December update). iPhone is better at sharpness and depending on the situation can be better at dynamic range, however, Pixel can be better at dynamic range when it comes to trying to see into dark spaces like caves when shooting video. So for video, I'd call it a tie, but where Pixel beats the crap out of iPhone is in still pictures, especially night sight. When it comes to low light photography, iPhone isn't even in the game.

Butter smooth operation , lightning fast just a great phone . Got it for $500 after giving Apple my old 6S Plus on trade in . Thanks Again
Had a pixel 2 have a iPhone xr. The image quality is day and night, and the clear winner is the pixel. I challenge you. Take a close up picture or a teddy bear or what ever has a lot of details, put the picture on any screen bigger than 6 inch and see the difference in both pictures. The iphone's one is like a oil painting with all the fine detail lost for ever. Take the pixel and see even the finest of details there waiting for you. And the smart hdr is so much worse than the pixels one. Taking a photo in direct sunlight or inside of a building with windows will show you the truth. Sadly I am stuck with my iPhone now :((
I feel you, just replaced my broken Pixel 2XL with a XR and I'm surprised by how much better pictures were on my pixel. And having night sight on the pixel is amazing
Simple just you know waste $1000 on a xr instead of buying a $700 pixel 3 with you know literally the same quality camera depending on what your doing and in my preference why waste a extra $300 on a phone that's not even better...
Pixel 3 !! I was contemplating whether Xr or Pixel 3 on thursday whereas they poped up Pixel 3's on the shop shelves. Pixel 3 was chosen - no remorse ;)
2nd. I think the iPhone offers better colour saturation and richer tones. It wins over the Pixel. Google needs to do some serious work as Apple is catching up!
you thought have you heard about the color grade 200 effect that you put in photos ..that’s what pixel is doing ,making images super contrasting, making the blacks so deep and making each bright color pop up ,like the vivid filter in iPhone. If pixel was so good in the photo department why does it fall so hard in terms of image quality while taking videos. And I prefer iPhone’s RAW images over pixel because editing the images ,the effects are easily on iPhone ‘s RAW than Pixel’s RAW images.
Just because it's more saturated it's not a better photo. The pixels shots look way more professional and realistic. If you want photos like on the iPhone just take the pixel 3 edit up the brightness and the saturation and boom, you got a photo with way better quality, better HDR and "good looking"
Hands down, I definitely prefer the images of the Pixel 3 but in terms of Video, Apple is just killing it. But in my opinion photos are more often used than Videos, so my vote goes to the Pixel 3. But it's impressing how great phone Cameras are these Days.

I always take selfies at home with indoors light, how does iphone xr handle that? im sure pixel 3's low light perfomances would kill it but i wonder about xr
The overall camera quality on the iPhone in general is better than the pixel in my opinion. Yes the stills aren't quite as good but it gets damn close and video destroys the pixel just making it the better overall phone camera imo
This is the summary. iphone xr and google pixel 3 have good photos that are comparable and subjective on which is better. Videos on the other hand there is a big gap on the quality between the two. Iphone XR is miles ahead from pixel 3 on a objective stance.
iPhone XR looks overall more solid performer...a d considering 256GB variant of XR, it's a no brainer... I will never understand why Pixels don't come in 64/128/256Gb when you consider how big can video files become, so camera is solid, built good, storage variants - very very stingy

Best way to get great pictures with an iPhone or Pixel 3? Turn on your Bluetooth or NFC, pair it with a real camera and get really good photos and not that common hdr crap thats so far from natural, that I really don't understand what they are talking about.
Let’s talk about the rubbish mics on the Pixel. I mean, they seem like back from 2008, they’re just awful. I wonder if they perform this bad also in calls
I was waiting to see a straight 100% crop comparison on the digital zoom on both phones, but i didn't have the chance! Why didn't you put a 2x 100% crop on both phones? And why the 5x zoom didn't show how the Pixel performed? And then, you didn't do a step by step HDR settings comparison on them as well (while saying the Pixel has 3 options of HDR settings). Quite a disappointment on the test video. Sorry.
Hey Steve, thanks for watching. I covered HDR in more depth during the iPhone XS vs Pixel 3 video which went out a few weeks ago, but there is a HDR comparison at 0:56 in this for you to look at. You can also see more zoom samples and HDR in the article which is linked in the description.
Iphone xr is not up to the mark of flagship level phone, it's has more weeknees in overall, both phones camera's comparing looking good portrait mode is producing Pixel 3 and better low-light performance but it struggle in video mode . as long as you don't want good video in low light and don't mind the Android platform.
@@BJJandBS How can you MIND the Android platform. It's so much better than iOS at this point that it's almost laughable.
@@maxkho00 both have their advantages (pixel 3xl user)
@@BJJandBS I've used iPhone OG, 3, 3GS, 4, 4S, 5S, 6, and 7. Believe me, I've wasted my time and money on 💩💩iOS till now. With latest Android Pie on my Pixel 2 XL, it's the perfect 👌 phone I've used. Flawless no creepy stills!!!
Single lens iPhone 📱 camera 📷 definitely seriously improved comparing pixel 3 every year iPhone 📱 camera wins video 📼 this year also catching up photos also google everywhere concentrating camera 📷 this year not the expected level of camera 📷 Apple 🍎 iPhone 📱 definitely serious improvement well done 👍🏻 CNET I really like your video 💯❤️
Elango Van still beauty gate ruined it's chance to beat Pixel this year. Maybe next year they can come back!!👍 But for time being Pixel is still the king.
Mirza Rizwan baig pixel is the king of trash opps sorry ios wins again
@@christianjohnperez8916 you're high on weed oops! 💩💩
Mirza Rizwan baig you’re an idiot opps again
Best way to get great pictures with an iPhone or Pixel 3? Turn on your Bluetooth or NFC, pair it with a real camera and get really good photos and not that common hdr crap thats so far from natural, that I really don't understand what they are talking about.
Let’s talk about the rubbish mics on the Pixel. I mean, they seem like back from 2008, they’re just awful. I wonder if they perform this bad also in calls
C'mon!! Stop comparing Beauty gate iPhone to Super natural Pixel 3!! Pixel wins by far 😎😎😎
@@LexySavvides Thank you.
Going to buy the IPhone Xr next week
I like the back and front of the XR but I don’t like the 720p display, Damn you Apple.
Iphone xr is not up to the mark of flagship level phone, it's has more weeknees in overall, both phones camera's comparing looking good portrait mode is producing Pixel 3 and better low-light performance but it struggle in video mode . Xr has good dynamic range in photos even in videos. Overall I recommend pixel 3, bcz it's complete flagship phone
I love my xr!!! I dont care what android user wanna said but ios device got the best video recorder right now!
Who records videos anyway!! 💩 Most people like to capture moments in stills!!! No denying Pixel still knocked out the competitors. I remember 9/10 I used camera on my Pixel 2 XL to point and shot stills or portrait. Videos ain't that important for majority.
Mirza Rizwan baig but in here in malaysia market to sell a used iphone got a very high demand thats one more reason i bought it, then nowdays people love to make a vlog
@@elynasyraf1532 speaking of vlog!! Video stability is important too. Pixel OIS and EIS stability is unreal. Moreover, that weird microphone of Pixel has been fixed and now on par with iPhones!! You can watch latest 😉 comparison.
Mirza Rizwan baig i’ve seen so many video comparison iphone vs other phone, and iphone got the best video recorder, better audio than pixel, and the best stabiliser than any phone, this is the real talk, pixel for camera iphone for video, then market for google pixel in Malaysia is low and i also doesnt like the google pixel phone design
@@elynasyraf1532 design is subjective! I Don't like iPhone design 😅. Besides, iPhone video stability isn't on par with Pixel that's given. Microphone of Pixel is on par with the iPhone. Maybe you should check out latest comparing with microphone fixed on Pixel.
Here's the honest review:
Stills: Pixel
Portrait: Pixel (majority UA-camrs says it)
Videos: iPhone (again majority UA-camrs says it)
Stability: Pixel (even people with weak eyesight can see the difference)
Microphone while recording: Tie ( Pixel on par with the iPhone, as per most UA-camrs)
Low light: Pixel ( Day and night difference 😂 with iPhones)
Those are from top tech UA-camrs. It's funny to see you say iPhone stability is better.
Pixel is natural
Would really really love to see the video and image comparison on snapchat ..and also include under sun effect..thanks alot .
I like the iPhone XR better!❤💕
Awesome video!!!!
Thanks you!!!!!
5:58 🤣🤣
I believe the iPhone has an edge on the video, while the Pixel 3 has a much better handle on the photos. Overall is a hard choice due to both being such good lenses; however, considering they're both flagship phones I say neither win, The winner is the OnePlus 6T!!
I’m an iPhone user but pixel does better
Excellent review!
pixels dont use flash at night anymore. Night sight is better than any flash
supaahflyy you’ll still need it for being a torch :)
single camera battle
Pixel for the camera iPhone for the video
