This game deserves so much more hype. Now that I see what went into it and just how time constrained Dean was, my appreciation for the game has just grown deeper. My gosh, I can't wait for the sequel. Dust is a magnificent game and deserves all the praise it got.
Dust: An Elysian Tail is one of the best arguments for the notion that video games are art. I think it's actually better it didn't get so much attention- so,e of the best games you'll ever play are the games few people know.
Watching that trailer at the end made me cry with joy just seeing how epic and great this game is and the fact that I got to play this game and I'm a part of the community. I know Dean Dodrill went through a lot making dust but I really hope he makes a sequel. That would make me more than happy :D
anybody know if the person at the end of the movie thingy, the one that does the flame thingy is a boy or girl? either way he or she is wicked attractive and I CANT WAIT FOR THE SEQUEL AND THE MOVIE. ALSO STOP SKIPPING MY DIALOGUE!!! XD
Why not? Plenty of people do it... I went on less than 5 hours of sleep for night for about 6 months when I was in nursing school... My first few months I also had to work in a gas station full time, so I was getting up at like 5:30am for lecture or clinical, lecture would go on til like 3 pm, clinical until 2:15 (and the sites were usually like 30+ minutes away), and I worked 5 days a week from like 3:30 or 4 til 11:30 or 12. Then I had to go home and study or clean my house or whatever whatever... I was lucky if I got 5 hours of sleep a night. If you're truly passionate about something and you have a dream of something you want to do, you'll work as hard as you can to get it.
+the bonesauce I seen many passionate individuals achieve their dreams without torturing themselves for years, cutting off precious years of their lifespan.
NotOrdinaryInGames Well sure, but I'm not sure you understand that he only did that because while he planned to give himself 10 more months to complete the game, then Microsoft gave him the offer to be involved in Summed of Arcade, and that shortened his goal from 10 months to 3 months. That's why he did it.

The dude is undeniably talented, I mean he made a game that is actually surprisingly amazing, and he did EVERYTHING but the music. I think that deserves a good round of applause. It is the most critically acclaimed game I've ever seen, especially in the indie circuit.

I can't believe I got to meet them when I went to pax east. It was a fun experience overall when I went there. glad to see dust on the ps4 as well.
