Also hidden power can be psychic move.
Topic suggestion: top 6 best and worst moves a pokemon can learn only from its prior evolution. For example if you wait with evolving nincada, your ninjask can have Sword dance
the whole deal with unknown being a mixed attacker is left over from Gen 2-3 when Hidden power could be physical as Hidden powers like Ghost, bug, fighting, steel (All of which Unown can learn as HP is based on each individual unown's IVs (Originally called DVs) ) but now with every move being physical or special depending on whether it makes contact or not, now makes unknowns attack stat useless
well historically this makes sense as hidden power iirc is a variable type move, which means it could be physical or special pre-split (aka in gen2 and 3)
Unknown was cool in gen 2 because it made you think that was something special about them, but they just got the boot basically. They're one of the most mysterious pokemon and they never really expanded on. Such a shame.

Going to make one argument for Unown - originally back in the older generations (2-3), Hidden Power wasn't just a special move, if you had something like Hidden Power Flying, it'd be a physical move (notable for a Pokemon like Salamence, who didn't really have another effective option for Flying STAB)
@@emperorcubone Hidden Power's typing changes depending on your IVs, that part hasn't changed about Hidden Power - what did change in Gen 4 was the separation of physical/special from their respective typings (Hyper Beam for example was a normal physical move - it became special starting in Gen 4)

I got a save game somewhere around here where I actually beat Pokemon Crystal with an Unown in my party... for some reason. It was such a pain with me constantly running out of PP for its one move, but it didn't do poorly when it had it's PP.
I think Scatterbug got the short end of the stick in this. The powder moves are still very good and can help it dominate the competition (I mean, stun spore Wynautt means it may not even use its countering attacks.)
Hidden Power can be any type other than Fairy or Normal. Unown might only have one attacking type per Unown, but it's still got sixteen potentially. It can have STAB, or it can have an attacking type that's super-effective against one or more of its opponents (realistically more since Wynaut and Cosmog share their type, as do Scatterbug and Kricketot). It is luck of the draw, but a base 60 move running off 72 SpAtk isn't terrible by the admittedly low standards of the Pokémon in question. Even 48 speed isn't that low since again, we're dealing with the bottom of the barrel here. The question is, do you find a single type that covers as much as possible for neutral or better (Dragon comes to mind immediately as one that's neutral on everything), do you go with HP Psychic to have the largest amount of pure damage before factoring in type alignments, or do we allow Unown to cheat by having ones tailored to the opponent? (HP Grass or Electric for Magikarp; Bug, Dark or Ghost for Wynaut and Cosmog; Fire, Rock or Flying for Kricketot and Scatterbug; and I suppose Psychic for Tynamo since super-effective isn't an option.) But then if we're allowing Unown to have as optimal a chance as possible, it's only fair we optimise the others as much as possible too. Hydro Pump Magikarp anyone?
Combee is top tier for mons that can't learn tms, and Vespiquen is a really good team member for a playthrough. I was able to use one in X because golurk could be my flyer.

Interesting video that I would argue vastly underestimates Unown and Wynaut as well. Unown probably is not the weakest pokemon in gen 2,, so I gues ultimate that wouldn't have affected the victor, but Hidden Power is a legit move.
Tynamo is essentially a cross between Magikarp, the Nidoran line, and Dragonite. Tynamo and what comes afterwards are brittle crap but Tynamo's fully evolved form Eelektross is one of the most powerful pokemon in Gen 5. Also the middle evolution learns poison claw which is useful since the fully evolved form is a stone evolution that doesn't learn moves either.
Where is Sandygast? I tried it on my first playthrough and it really sucks to level up !!!! oh and beside: having splash on Cosmog really helps out Solgaleo. Z-Splash Solgaleo is just op ;)
Really? I used a Sandygast my first time and it was a valued team member... But yes, how could I forget the Z-Move variant? That makes all the difference...
@@emperorcubone i really struggled with it having no good stab because almost all the moves where special and lo hitting ^^ and the z splash was not meant as an excuse. i mean the others could also use z moves but you left them out for being irrelevant. and even a z splash doesnt make sense for a pokemon that cant attack anyway ^^ it just felt a bit disappointed to have cosmog in the list, because everyone knows he and his evolution are weak and useless af. so i hoped for a something new XD because i was not aware that tynamo was this bad.
I had a Sandygast and I really, really wanted to like it...but then I realized that its nature lowered its Special Attack and raised its Speed...lowering its best stat and raising a stat that might as well have been 0. Maybe that was the problem with yours. Not to mention that it's weak to Water (which is a common type in the region) and Dark (which almost any Pokemon can use), which makes it really hard to use in-game.
You forgot one thing! Focus sash wynut can OHKO almost anything so I would prefer it to tynmo. Yeah it has no weakness but what is the point if it gets knocked out in one hit? Even focus sash is pretty useless because what’s it going to do? Charge beam? Spark? Unless you can para your opponent and get extremely lucky over the next few turns while charge beam snowballs you are dead ages ago without doing anything apart from cutting their speed. Yeah I think you’re right about your play style fogs your judgement. Yes most decent players could work around wynut’s gimmicks but it’s still possible that it takes a strong Pokemon down.
It’s super easy to take down a wynaut, not to mention it’s evolution is better. It’s predictable, and a throw away most the time thus only wasting a spot on your team that a longer lasting and better pokemon could be in.
Shame that mold breaker haxorus exist for tynamo line. And exacrdrill but sand rush is better. Also bunelby line has huge power so just double that attack stat for calcs

Sunkern might be frail, but it is awfully cute!
Illuminati: Stay right where you are
Sheer heart tynamo has no weakness
Those are digimon at 23:55
Noibat is available very ealy in the game?
Wynut is way better for any good player. You didn’t even mention shadow tag.
Little does he know pichu became
S tier in smash ultimate
Where is Sandygast? I tried it on my first playthrough and it really sucks to level up !!!!
oh and beside: having splash on Cosmog really helps out Solgaleo. Z-Splash Solgaleo is just op ;)
Really? I used a Sandygast my first time and it was a valued team member...
But yes, how could I forget the Z-Move variant? That makes all the difference...
@@emperorcubone i really struggled with it having no good stab because almost all the moves where special and lo hitting ^^ and the z splash was not meant as an excuse. i mean the others could also use z moves but you left them out for being irrelevant. and even a z splash doesnt make sense for a pokemon that cant attack anyway ^^
it just felt a bit disappointed to have cosmog in the list, because everyone knows he and his evolution are weak and useless af. so i hoped for a something new XD because i was not aware that tynamo was this bad.
I had a Sandygast and I really, really wanted to like it...but then I realized that its nature lowered its Special Attack and raised its Speed...lowering its best stat and raising a stat that might as well have been 0. Maybe that was the problem with yours.
Not to mention that it's weak to Water (which is a common type in the region) and Dark (which almost any Pokemon can use), which makes it really hard to use in-game.
what do the unknown say at 6:46
I am surprised that dunsparce or abra didnt make this list...
Strongest weakest
*Strongest weakest*
*STRONGEST. WEAKEST.*
You should have considered abilities like how Bunnelby can get Huge Power since you considered egg moves and tutors
Wow no dislikes. Great job man 👏🔥💯👍
Thank you very much friend!
Why did 28 people dislike this today then? By the way EC, I agree with your choice and reasons of the strongest weak Pokémon being Tynamo.
Is the next vid weakest strong pokemon :P
in diamond I soft resetted for a female combee, and as a combee, gust did well until it evolved, and became a lot better.
Shame that mold breaker haxorus exist for tynamo line. And exacrdrill but sand rush is better. Also bunelby line has huge power so just double that attack stat for calcs
OK think it was an event but Magikarp does get Hydro Pump. Also bunnelby does get Huge Power Doubling attack
I was able to stall out one of my friends with Eviolite Sunkern w Leech Seed, Synthesis, Toxic and Giga Drain
The title is confusing, is the video about the weakest pokemon of each region or the strongest weakest pokemon? Because your saying the weakest, not the strongest of the weakest...
I know this might be too much for one video, but I would love to see a video of all the different sexually dimorphic pokemon!
My Unown in Pokemon HeartGold had ancient power
this video is basically just an ad for Little Cup
regigigas? or would he be the weakest of the strong?
*looks at Wynaut in Ubers for two generations*
Caterpie reminds me of Wormon form digimon.
What a paradoxical title.
Before I watch, it is by far cosmog, it learns NO offensive moves or status changing moves
9:15 hitting them back and kill them.
geez thats dark.
I saw this and immediately thought shukle
you forgot to factor items i think
