ผมจะอ้างอิงจากประวัติศาสตร์นะคับการร่ายรำแบบนี้ที่มาคือชาวขอมเมื่ออดีตโบราณนานมา"ไม่ใช่" วัฒนธรรมของเขมร หรือปัจจุบันบันที่เรียกว่าเคลมโบเดีย ไทยกับเขมรถกเถียงกันเกี่ยวกับวัฒนธรรม...ดังนั้นชาวโลกควรรับรู้ได้แล้วว่านครวัดที่เขมรแท้จริงมาจากชาวขอม สุดท้ายชาวสยามกุกต้องทำสงครามเพื่อแย่งดินแดนและเอาสิ่งที่ขอมเคยถูกชาวเขมรแย่งไปจากแตงหวานที่สถาปณาขึ้นมาเองโดยแต่งตั้งให้เป็นพระเจ้าชัยวรมันองศ์ท้ายๆหรือแตงหวานผู้ที่แย่งชิงราชบัลลังก์ของราชวงค์ขอมราชวงศ์ต้นๆมาและชาวสยามกุกเชื้อสายขอมก็รวบรวมกองกำลังเพื่อแก้แค้นกลับคืนมาอีกทีโดยสยามกุก ปัจจุบันรัฐบาลเขมรได้ทำลายแผ่นศิลาจาลึกที่ชาวขอมได้สาปแช่งชาวเขมรรวมถึงสยามกุกที่เคยแก้แค้นและแกะสลักไว้เพื่อให้คนรุ่นหลังทราบว่าแท้จริงชาวเขมรคือผู้ทำลายร้างเชื้อราชวงค์ชัยมันที่1มาเป็นของเขมร(ดีที่ชาวสยามในสมัยรัชกาลที่ห้าได้เอาเทคโนโลยีหรือกล้องถ่ายรูปถ่ายเก็บไว้ได้บางส่วน)และเขมรที่ถูกสยามยึดครองก็ตกอยู่ภายใต้สยามมาจนช่วงฝรั่งเศษล่าอาณานิคมแทบเอเชีย กษัตย์ไทยรัชกาลที่5 ต้องสูญเสียดินแดนขอมโบราณให้กับฝรั่งเศษแบบไม่เต็มใจ(เป็นเพราะพวกล่าอาณานิคมจริงๆความโลภของชาวยุโรป) วัฒนธรรมสมัยโบราณล้วนแล้วมาจากชมพูทวีปหรือทางอินเดียซ่ะส่วนใหญ่ดังนั้นโปรดทำความเข้าใจเขมรพยายามแย่งวัฒนธรรมและนครวัดของชาวขอมและเปลี่ยนชื่อให้คล้ายกับอินเดียเพราะเขมรรู้ว่าอินเดียคือผู้ที่เอาชาวเขมรหรือมนุษย์ป่าหรือเขมรมาขายแรงงานให้กับขอม ปัจจุบันประวัติศาสตร์บิดเบือนไปมากกับประวัติศาสตร์ขอมสยามกุก เพราะรัฐบาลเขมรและจีนร่วมมือกันเพื่อตีแพร่ว่าเขมรคือเจ้าของวัฒนธรรมแห่งเอเชียแต่ปัจจุบันสองประเทศนี้ทำอะไรไทยไม่ได้ รวมถึงฝรั่งเศสที่เข้าข้างเขมรซึ่งยึดทรัพย์สินโบราณไปนับไม่ถ้วนซึ่งฝรั่งเศสก็ไม่ทราบประวัติศาสตร์ความเป็นมาของนครวัดนครทมเลย แม้แต่นิดเพียงแค่มีหน้าที่ยึดอำนาจล่าอาณานิคมเพื่อให้ได้ทรัพยสมบัติโดยเอาเทคโนโลยีสมัยใหม่มาข่มขู่ชาวเอเชีย ชาวอินเดียเองก็ถูกเขมรเคลมว่าแท้จริงเขมรคือผู้ก่อตั้งวัฒนธรรมในดินแดนชมพูทวีปอินเดียคือผู้มาที่หลังเขมรผู้ที่มาก่อนกาล...ผมกลัวว่าเขมรจะเคลมมหาสฟิงซ์ดินแดนอียิปต์โบราณเพราะก่อนหน้านี้มียูทูปเบอร์ชาวเขมรอ้างว่าสฟิงซ์อียิปต์คืออารยธรรมเดียวกับเขมร..ไม่มีคำไหนที่บอกว่านครวัดนครทมเป็นของไทยและเขมรนะเพราะดินแดนที่ล่มสลายไปเป็นของขอมโบราณโดยมีศิลาจาลึกเป็นภาษาสันสกฤต...ดังนั้นคนที่เข้าข้างเขมรจงรู้ไว้ว่าอดีตไม่สามารถระบุความเป็นมาที่แท้จริงได้ร้อย%

ถูกต้องครับ ระบำอัปสราทางกัมพูชาจะใช้วงพิณพาทย์เป็นตัวบรรเลงหลัก แต่ระบำอัปสราของไทย จะใช้ดนตรีพื้นบ้านอีสานใต้โดยมีซอกันตรึมเป็นตัวบรรเลงหลัก ผ้านุ่งทางนี้มักใช้ผ้าไหมลายพื้นเมืองสุรินทร์สีโทนแดงน้ำตาลเข้มไม่ทัดดอกไม้(มีความเข้มขรึมโบราณเป็นเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะถิ่น) ทางฟากโน้นเค้าจะใส่โทนสีทองขลิบแดงทัดดอกไม้สด(แนวสีสันเหมือนตัวนางในโขนไทย) อีกทั้งจังหวะเยื้องย่างวาดวงแขนจับจีบก็ต่างกันภาพรวมท่วงท่าลีลารสชาติของอัปสราไทยและอัปสรากัมพูชามีอรรถรสคนละแบบอย่างชัดเจน

การแสดงนี้เป็นการประกอบพิธีบูชาต่อพระศิวะเจ้า ตามหลักศาสนาพราหมณ์ฮินดู ในการที่จะเข้าไปประกอบพิธีในสถานที่ศักดิ์สิทธิ์นั้น กษัตริย์ขอมและพระราชินี จะต้องมีการชำระร่างกายให้บริสุทธิ์เสียก่อนที่จะเข้าไป สำหรับเสาหินที่กษัตริย์เทน้ำนมรดลงไปนั้น เรียกว่า ศิวลึงค์ เป็นรูปเคารพแทนองค์พระศิวะเจ้านั่นเอง อานิสงส์จากการบูชานี้มีความเชื่อว่า จะทำเกิดความอุดมสมบูรณ์ มีแต่ความผาสุก (หากข้อผิดต้อขออภัยด้วยครับ)

ขอเพิ่มนิดนึ่งครับ ที่บอกว่าใช้น้ำมนต์ จริงๆแล้ว การทำพิธี บูชาพระศิวะลึงค์ ที่เห็นนั้น คือ น้ำนมโค ครับไม่ใช่น้ำมนต์ อันนี้เป็นการแสดงแบบย่อๆ ถ้าในพิธีจริงๆ จะใช้หลายๆอย่างครับ เช่น น้ำนมโค เนยเหลว นมเปรี้ยวหรือโยเกิรต์ น้ำผึง น้ำขมิ้น รวมๆแล้ว ถ้าในปัจจุบัน ก็คือ การทำ สปาร์ ที่คนทั่วไปในปัจจุบันชอบทำ เป็นพิธีชำระร่างกายให้กับ พระศิวะ ครับ

Imagining if they actually performed this in the real historical site or in the ancient temple just gives me goosebumps. It is as meticulous as it is enchanted more over in my opinion it connects us of how past and present meet and how ancient Hindu beliefs made their way from Jambudvip to south east asia and blend in perfectly with buddhist community. I’m so thankful they make this pure form of art ❤

This is a performance by Thai students. This is a cultural performance of ancient Khmer or Khom in Thai language (not present Cambodia). According to the Hindu beliefs of ancient Khmer and northeastern part of Thailand, this is a dance that worships of Shiva (Hindu's God), originating from ancient Khmer, such as Burerum province, Surin province, Srisaket province, Nakhon Ratchasima province and Ubon Ratchathani province are still protecting and inheriting this art and culture to present.
The totem as you see is called the Shiva Lingam, symbolizing the male genitalia Representing Lord Shiva It represents the origin of life and fertility. The Hindu worship of Shiva Lingam is poured with milk. Wash with clean water and dab with red powder.

This is a Thai dance which heavily influenced by Indian Tamils of Cholas. Glad you enjoyed it. Its one of the best. Thailand always executed their cultures and arts very well.

It’s kind of weird that the Cambodian wanted to followed Thai culture, traditions customs and even art a lot more than ever in the last ten years.
It’s time that country such as Cambodia have to find a way to produce something that stands truly for who they are. Just take a look at this dance inherited from Hindu culture where countries in the Southeast Asia in the region has adapted successfully and made their own stamp on it. Undoubtedly many of these recognizable spectacular heritages art performance styles are well known and documented and renowned for in Thailand.
For over three decades that we visited the Southeast Asia, each time there are increasingly a lot of Thai things in Lao, Cambodia and Vietnam - particularly food and household products and clothing as well as the latest trends of popularity which focus on Thai TV media industry. Today, we see Thai have taken over languages, culture of civilization and traditions in Cambodia and Lao without lifting a finger by just being Thai.
Though Vietnam is now better. The country is becoming more established in tourism and their personalities is emerging strongly. Unfortunately, the other two on the mainland which is Lao and Cambodia haven’t achieved as high results in standards.
Let take in consideration that these three neighboring countries are under china economic influences and similarly run under communist system = but somehow only Vietnam can break free.
It would be a shame if Cambodia, Lao can not take their identity to the next level or failed to logolized in showing who they really are to the world.
Similarity can still be distinguished with a wow factor if played well and surely both Cambodia and Lao have a lot to changed before it’s too late.
At the end of the day it would be unfair to described Lao or Cambodia as a mixtures of a place where the nation is politically under the Vietnamese control while china is the true owner of the land by being the largest debtors overtaking economical power in both nations. And on top of this, the Thai are their biggest influencer in culture, civilization and customs which goes all the way down to traditions and authenticity in food, music, dance, clothing, festivals. Because if this Had been the case then without doubt it will not benefit Cambodia or lao.
Basically the state being for both nations is now at a lost of independence as a whole country. Currently People visiting from around the globe can see and experience that while Lao is turning Chinese, Cambodia is turning Thai.
Worse of all social media trends travel fast and = in the future why waste time going to see these two countries because the original culture of Thailand authenticity will give tourists a much better experiences. Thai tourism infrastructure is already in place at a much higher standard and fairer prices with better dedicated reception and safeties protection. There is a reason why Thailand holds the highest ranking as most visited placed for the past few years.
If Myanmar at war can differentiate themselves from the Thai by being unique and have their own distinctive characteristics values. Ie- powder pattern on face as cosmetic sunblock. Without any saying this already spoke for itself of which countries they are from.
So what is holding Cambodia and Lao back from finding their selling point that is not just a copied a version of Thailand or just let the Chinese run their country.
Isn’t the two countries are still pretty raw in terms of natural beauty, they should empathize on this factor as an alternatives for adventurous tourism and differentiate the development in copying, editing, and progression as a nation that wants tourist as part of economic incomes.

I would like to leave this message to those who think that Thailand stole Khmer dance. This kind of dance has disappeared with time and there are only sculptures in the ancient walls. This dance was created from the current understanding of people. and the aptitude of each person in the country which Thailand has studied Teaching this dance without interruption And this dance has created a new thing in the understanding of Thai people. How can Cambodian people say that Thai people steal dances? When the Apsara dance, the clothes and dance moves are not like this.😂
Recently, one beauty contest in Cambodia copied and used this Thai traditional song on stage and claimed this is Cambodian song. Khonkaen university, the creator of this dance and song, is suing this infringement of copyright in Cambodia court although it is well known that the chance to win is so little in this country.

The performance has portrayed the religious activity of the royal couple during the ancient era. It told about their preparation for the worshiping to the Lord Shiva, the Greatest Hindu God, after the monarch's invitation. The physical and mental purifying was the seriously religious regulation before attending in the religion's area and facing the supreme god, then the scence of body cleaning and well dressing took place. Well, what they wore on their heads were not the normal hats, but the honor crowns showing their dignity, the ornament on their breast as well. Finally, the show ended up with the worshiping scence inside the sanctuary at which the Shiva Lingam presented to represent to the Lord.

I saw a lot of those totem in Angkor Wat, Cambodia. The male and female genitalia are worshipped in the Khmer culture, but in a very natural and not disturbing way. The Apsaras are beautiful temple dancers. There are thousands of them sculptured on almost every wall of the numerous ancient temples, each looking different. The moves of the dancers are very elegant and so nice to watch. In the hot climate there, it is only natural they established a very slow dance but very artful.
