Yes the front is flexible, but the box is sturdy and holds alot, the box that GM offers for the double cab is very small. The front of the weather-tech is flexible so when the heal of your foot hit it, it will give. GM does offer as well as other makers of these storage boxes. A storage box for there crew cabs only, (I have a double cab) that are designed much better, I was told the crew cab box will not fit my truck. I've had people in the back, nobody complained but I didn't ask either. Next time I will and let you know what they think.
Husky just came out with a GearBox for the Double Cab, and it mounts securely in place. And at least 2 inches more floor space... ua-cam.com/video/jJtjgC5vRmA/v-deo.html
I totally need this but I already spent $800 + on other mods like fender protector, mats, led headlights and step bumpers. The wife says "your done for now". Lol
That was my dream as a kid I always wanted to be an actor. Who knows maybe someday some director will be looking something up to do for his truck come across my channel and say hey you should hire this guy for our next movie. You Never know....
Husky just came out with a GearBox for the Double Cab . Much better then the WeatherTech Box... You will gain 2 more inches of floor space and it mounts securely to the floor with the same amount of storage space... ua-cam.com/video/jJtjgC5vRmA/v-deo.html
It looks flimsy. I don’t like how it intrudes on you foot space, it should angle in, not out. Poor design in my opinion. But nice video to show it in a real world application.
Good morning. The box is sturdy, but the from where your feet will be, it is flexible, but The heal of your foot might touch it a little bit, if I had the crew cab I could have bought the style you talked about. GM and Tuffy and a few other makers have that style, but they don't fit my truck....yet.
I agree with the weathertech it is flimsy and not secure. But the husky storage box is much better and more secure and you gain about 2 inches of floor space
Not really, it acts a tailgate lock and not key required to unlock it and if you are carrying something heavy, you will not have to set it down first, but of course you will have to have your keys in your hand while heading to the truck to put the stuff in the bed of the truck.
I don't understand your comment. Did it start and stop during play back.it's a 4K video maybe that's why. Or was the thumbs down on the START/STOP technology.
I was going to get one of these until you sat in the back and showed us how much it flexed. What a shame. Thanks for the video.

Dude that sucks....I spent maybe close to 300.00 or more.. I'm done too....a two inch all around lift would be nice.... But I'm done too.
@@HowtowithPaulHenderson just get it and ask for forgiveness later. Lol.
@@jjrox8930 if you do get one the husky gearbox is a better fit.
@@HowtowithPaulHenderson okay. Cool
I’m upgrading to a new truck from a truck that already has tool boxes. I’m looking into storage for the back seat. Sounds like your same situation.
Check out the Husky Gear Box, it's a better design
Great video Paul, Thanks 🙏🏾
Paul, have you ever considered voice acting? lol. Great video.

God video remember the insides of car
I have carpet in my 2019 under the seat. Will it have to be removed or does the tray just sit on top of the carpet?
No it will not. It sits on top of the carpet.

Were your jack
It's is still factory attached to the floor behind the box on the left side..

OEM is much better, too much flex and not really secure.

Automatic tailgates are one of stupidest features on new trucks. Waste of money and resources.

👍New video! 👎Start-stop
