- A summary of the ups and downs of my very first vEveresting attempt on the Alpe du Zwift - as authentic as necessary, as crisp as possible. Thanks for all the positive and negative feedback :-)
Well done man amazing effort. Giving me some confidence to try it this winter
Go for it! :-)
I rode 3 hours on zwift 2 days ago which was my longest ever indoors activity. I can't imagine everesting outside, let alone on a trainer :) My biggest accomplishment is 100 miles with 10k feet climb in one day outside before lol. Maybe it'll change. Collecting badges is fun.
Congrats!
Impressive. Rode on :-)
just watched this again, so epic man, you should be super proud of yourself
Congratulations. Thanks for sharing your vEveresting experience. Really liked your commentary. Awesome.
My hat is off to you. An amazing feat of cycling...
That was awesome and inspiring - well done! 👍
I will try it tomorrow in the evening. Thank you for your video
Good luck 😃👍🏻
did you get it??
@@8rk No, I did not finish it. I stopped my attempt at 5850D+. I will try again.
@@metallarofolk Still an amazing ride! Best of luck with the next attempt :) I'm sure I'll fail it a few times haha
@@metallarofolk Well done! You'll do it, I'm sure. Keep it up :-)
Well done 👏
Good job! 12 h 20 min indoors would be too much to handle for me right now, maybe after 30-40 more training ascents and a couple of test runs with 3-5 ascents during my indoor season that starts in a couple of weeks or so. Two big thumbs up 👍👍
Thanks! Wish you all the best, go for it :-)
That is a top effort we’ll done mate 🤟
Thanks for the inspiration, i am doing a charity everesting in two weeks at the age of 13
Silly but really great ride, Man! :) Big Respect!! Definitely it was a mental victory. It was worth such huge effort.
What was your trainer difficulty setting in zwift during this ride? what smart trainer did you use? what was the most used gear ration? what zwift frame and wheels you used? Really interesting to know :) Thanks!
Thank you, really appreciate your kudos! Silly indeed :-) Here's the specs of my used setup:
Trainer difficulty: 50%
Trainer: Tacx Neo
Most used gears were 39-25, 39-23 and 39-21, depending on the steepness of the climb; (I'm using an 11-28)
Used bike frame was the Canondale SuperSix EVO, which is only available upon reaching lvl 36
Wheelset was the Lightweight Meilenstein; However I suppose you can also use the Zipp 202 or any other 4-star weight wheelset.
Hope that gives a good overview over my setup.
@@MonstrMinion thanks, it is more detailed picture now :) I"m just curious is it possible to do vEveresting with trainer difficulty set to 100%, on a powerful trainer like Neo o Kickr... I usually train on my Wahoo Snap with difficulty set to 100% and it is really hard when climbing steep hills.
200 KM and 9000 meters elevation in a single ride activity ... i feel like lion of the jungle if I manage to do 1000 meters elevation in 2 hours
🐐
It’s funny that you mentioned how 90 minutes up the alps after five attempts is horrible. And I’m here thinking about how 90 minutes is my PR on fresh legs😂😂😂😂😂
You're insane
