In dc post interview with ariel. Dc said that khabib initially plan for the armbar in the fight but suddenly he change his mind because he think justin will never tap out and he did not want to break justin arm infront of his parent watching. Thats why he do the triangle choke. If you look carefully. Many micro move khabib did were very suggestive to the opponent and eventually the opponent will need to respond to one submission attempt and get into another. Like example when he release his triangle lock on justin head slightly to move his leg into the inside part of justin head to fake an armbar attempt to get justin react and get on his knee. He even help push justin knee to get up. And this is really a great breakdown and make me learn a lot. It shows a lot about how bjj works. We all know training is not like the real fight. Because in real fight we dont have much time to react or respond. Thanks very much for the through break down. Keep up the good work so we all can learn more. 🙏🏻

Khabib did let the hand of Gaethje skip during the triangle in the second round because he did change his mind. what great a champ he is that makes him a special human being and great a champ fighter in UFC maybe forever. Thank you so much Coach for the great demonstration you did.

I think an analysis on his dominant wrestling would be so much interesting. Timings, how he circle etc. His BJJ moves are easier to decipher

That’s unreal, he tried 3 different finishes in one move to submit him. That level of technique is unreal, I’m glad he has retired as he doesn’t have anything to prove but sad won’t see his art again. Would have loved to have seen how he solves the Tony Ferguson problem but alas not to be.

I still dont know why gaehtje doesnt do bjj. Now everybody knows his weakness.
But to use bbj on Gaethje is almost impossible because he got really good takedown defends.. But of course Khabib still manage took Gaethje to the ground because he is a different beast.. But other fighters have difficulty in this regard
