Next edition: Temple of Resonance ( 30 years of Masters of Hardcore ). Time Heist anthem didn’t have a good reception, so next year, we need a massive anthem to gather 30 years in one song

These dumb kicks killed hardcore. I think anything after 2018 can't be reckoned as hardcore at main stage. It is sad to see even the Angerfist shifted to uptempo style.

Dont like those kicks! Aint no hardcore anymore… Where is the time of Neophyte, Endymion, Evil Activities, Promo, Panic, Paul Elstak, Angerfist, Stunned Guys etc. At a main stage… Good original hardcore… Not like these new guys with them dumb kicks. We need bass!

I’m an industrial hardcore head myself, but hardcore none the less, and this is certainly not it. The distortion is too polished, and the tocks/punches are too polished giving a very ear piercing high end that I just personally can’t get into - albeit the older stuff, whilst not as polished so to speak, didn’t pierce the ear with the highs like these kicks do. Sure the synths and leads would, but not the kick like these new piep kicks seem to. Plus I don’t understand liking the sound of not being able to discern the punch from tail, and it’s all just over boosted distortion with a thud, and not a nice 808 thud. I don’t understand. I love all walks of music, and the 2 things that bug me the most about genres I personally love is - black metal needs to sound clearer imo. The whole recorded through a pvc pipe onto a potato sound just doesn’t do it for me and never has. Unpopular opinion within the black metal community that one is. But I love the well produced stuff, it sounds beyond better.
Secondly the piep kicks in hardcore now. Bring back a nice dog bark kick or a nice pluggy kick like chronic disorder or tymon & ophidian ‘the one’ or some of tymon’s earlier stuff, just for example. Art of fighters redemption is another good one. Meccano twins no sacrifice too. I feel very lucky to have seen all the guys you mentioned in a time I believe they were absolutely peaking for hardcore techno music. Pissin razor blades was just something else. I remember a friend downloading it from somewhere, way back in 06, and if peeps remember in Australia at the time, it wasn’t easy accessing this stuff on the internet as it is now. You’d search for hours and hours. But she had Pissin razor blades and til that point I was all about neophyte and evil activities one of these days sound. But that double album of angerfist was so refreshing and heavy. Was completely blown away with the darkness and heaviness of it. Good times. Wtf is this stuff……..
Also, the raise Cain anthem stunned guyz did is still on regular rotation! As is so much from 02-13/14
