  • The wall of sharks, a wildlife phenomenon in the southern pass of Fakarava atoll, where sharks gather in large numbers and prey on the groper fish that spawn there. And there's nothing going to hold us back from diving with the sharks!

Wow, Wow, and Wow again. I now realise how much of my non military life I have wasted.
I do so much admire your videos, and how you seem so much part of all them reef sharks. Are you just complacent or have thorough trust in your beliefs entering them beautiful waters.
If, ever I had another life to travel and do similar life happenings, I'd starve, as I have never found seafood to delight my palate...bugga. But, if ever hungry enough, am sure many herbs and extras would hopefully cover them tastes my palate rejects.
Gosh In my youthful later years I did catch many fish which I smoked and sold to patrons in local shore pubs, plus I pickled scallops, and Razor fish for same patrons....was a beaut market.
Military got me...unfortunately have some dilemmas from such, but this yearning for the seas got me interested, and some research later found my fathers ancestors were sailors, ships chandlers etc....guessing the salt is somewhere in my blood....Cheers guys, and many thanks for sharing them adventures....Happy Days.

Cheers, thanks Dennis! To be fair we get tired of earing mahi mahi three days in a row! lots of spices help! And you get used to the reef sharks, they're quiet small and not threatening - apart from at night when they only realise what you are when they get close to you, as we found out one night swim at the Wall! Then they only turn away from you only a foot out - can be intimidating until you get used to that!

Here sitting at my desk in the office waiting to leave to catch my train and commute for 1.15 hours to get home. If only one had the means to break free and sail the world like you guys. Thanks for the escape and great video as always.

Making me nostalgic! I was there last year, but sadly Valentine and Gaston were just leaving for Fakarava (also my favorite, spent a month there), so did not get to have dinner with them. But you missed out on some amazing free diving outside the reef, you can drift snorkel along the edge on the equatorial current. I did it solo, which was a little iffy, but it was so much fun I went three times. And like you then sailed to Papeete.
