For starters, I don't think the thousands of eggs has anything to do with you, but rather.. Basically whenever Charles wasn't trying to eat you alive, he goes to his nest. While you did destroy three of his eggs.. The nest had a lot, lot more.
Now, This game is fantastic. It doesn't rely on cheap jumpscares to scare you. But rather the atmosphere and setting to do the job. A breath of fresh air since most recent horror games are just cheap jumpscares after cheap jumpscares.
When you’ve beaten the game but still watch because well, Drae.

I was initially going to just watch drae play it but then maddvladd uploaded the full game and watched that, so now I’m just watching to see drae struggle. And give him another view 😬
Please tell us the ending cuz Drae cut it short, or was that the entire ending?
So the hatching egg implies charles is a living creature, not some demon that possessed a train. Does that mean the train is not actually part of his body? Maybe he is like a hermit crab using the train as a sort of makeshift shell. Alternatively Charles could be some sort of highly evolved mimic. One that has grown so strong he can hunt for prey in the open.
If you watch the last fight before the boss, you see that Charles has a decal on the side just like the player's train does. You basically start with the same train that Charles took over, assuming he hatched from one of those eggs.
He could be a crab like monster.
or maybe, it hatched in a train, so now charles is stuck litterally wearing a train, thats why he is mad
probably a spider that through demonic influence/corruption, fused with a train. That's the most logical theory imo
@@MethCombuster Hell those eggs are basically miniature nuclear reactors right, and ever notice how the player train never needs fuel? I'm willing to bet charles egg wasn't in that train by coincidence, it was literally the battery used to power it. I'm also willing to bet if you pry open the hood of your own train you'd find a fourth egg. Okay maybe this getting silly, but it would be cool if it was true.

I quit watching IGN reviews over a decade ago, and when I say over a decade ago it was over the awful review of Hydrothunder Hurricane, which came out in 2010. Some of the worst review material ever.

@@yourmanzach2307 What I think is really going on is that those at IGN view rating a game more as work and less as having playful fun. Imagine if, for instance, you're not a fan of sports games but your boss comes down and tells you to put 40 hours of gameplay into the newest Madden game, obviously it's not going to be a fun experience and it's going to feel more like... well... boring work.
These reviewers aren't playing the game for the fun of it, their playing the game because their boss ordered them too, so naturally you get crappy reviews.
@@JTelli786 well they hired the wrong people. I think if you are going to work there you should have a love for all games. That doesn’t mean you have to enjoy it, but you can Appreciate its design. I loved Mario games as a kid and now I have a switch that collects dust but I’ll never get rid of it because I want to get a Mario party game or something.

honestly, itd be the perfect way to make a train version of volcanoids essentially. tons of enemies that "respawn" expandable and upgradable train, more weapons, hopefully mp support (just cause i think youtubers teaming up to defeat em would be fun) and helping recruit or save all the people on the island then blowing that place sky high

Props to the dev once again, watched the creation of the game and now watched the completion of the game, awesome overall!
The Bug Spray's best attribute is it's slowing effect, you should try aiming it toward the ground, once Charles walks over it, it'll not only do damage but slow him down tremendously!
The battle to end all battles…. We will call this… our DRAE DAY!

I think you did the right thing going and doing all the side missions and beefing the train up first!
And this is why I come to you drae I've watched 2 other guys play this (only because you didn't have it up yet) and they don't explore the surroundings like you do they only got 2 paints you damn near got all of em and killed the miner guys THANK YOU SO MUCH for awesome content

This game is the prelude to Thomas The Tank Engine :O It all makes sense now.

The ending of this reminds me of the end of that Godzilla movie where all the baby Godzilla eggs were in the stadium.

If they had the inseam where Charles found to the water and drowned it would have been a point towards or an Easter egg towards the only US troops or us fighting people that ever actually invaded Japan like mainland Japan then we'll work too it was a submarine crew on the ship's last sortie for the whole time for the rest of the year and stuff of the captain they set up a bridge to detonate that spanned a little bit of way of water on a Japanese mainland what happened was that someone the engineered a pressure plates it was the only test in history of the flight trajectory and fight characteristics of a train that thing went up 100 feet straight up into the air before coming down smacking Earth and then falling into water it was freaking hilarious this guy talked about it the fatty electrician USS Buck if I'm correct or something like that he did about the submarine that literally has a train on its like kill record the only submarine to sink a train just let that sink in
