    The technique is called glass fusing. Look for a local art glass supplier for beginner classes. There’s also a large conference in April in Las Vegas called Glass Craft and Bead Expo. You’ll find a lot of great instructors and classes there.

    I am curious to know how to welt glass and make variety of vases and cups, where do I get training and what are the requirements please.

    Did you apply kiln wash to your lap wheel? If so, why? If not, what was it you were applying at about 2:47?

      Kiln wash would be for use in the kiln only, to prevent the glass from sticking to other surfaces. If you watch closely, you can see that the color of the lap wheel has changed. She has finished her work with the wheel, and has topped it with a felt pad. What you see her adding is most likely cerium oxide powder, mixed with water so that it distributes evenly across the pad, and cools & lubricates the glass.
