I think the moral of her story was, even if you give your child everything: loving family, wealth, good genes etc., if you keep them sheltered, saying to them that they can have everything they want (her mom even defended her actions of being a mistress, saying Tae-Oh's family is already broken down) does not a guarantee someone to be a good person. In the original English series, the mistress was already a slut (as claimed by her younger brother who is absent in the Korean drama) who is unlucky with love and slept with many men to feel the love after being unlucky with many men, so she decided to pursue a realtionship with a married man. The mistress in the English series also has beauty, wealth and loving supportive parents but still she decided to hurt other people. Seeing it as her duty to "save the man from his marriage" . what a joke. I have no sympathy for this woman and other people like her whatsoever. All she has is greed. What she wants is what she gets regardless if other people get hurt.

Every kdrama lover once cried uncontrollably while watching seon-woo crying uncontrollably at the beach and finally letting out what she had been holding up for such a long time.
I didn't expect to really feel this series at the beginning. I watch eps 14 when the lady walks into the ocean, still good, I said : it's still bearable to watch. But when she started sobbing, I lost it. It must be relieving to be able to cry after you hold your tears for too long, acting so tough but eventually you have process your emotions and to actually accepting the truth.
This K-drama was so amazing, I can say it is the best one I've watched so far and I've watched many. The main actress did such an amazing job. She delivered all of Sunwoo's emotions incredibly, she portrayed the role of a deeply flawed character, yet strong and will viciously take down anyone who tries to mess with her or her son. This show is so unlike your typical K-drama, I loved how realistic it is, how they focused on the things that women have to endure, how everyone is flawed and there's no one perfect. Every single character was multidimensional as well as well acted, even the antagonists.

After a long interval i started watching kdramas again. This drama, this is an absolute treat. I just love how i never got bored with all of these 1.30hr episodes fr a single minute. Mind blowing acting delivered by the main leads and Joon young ❤
This drama depicted the complications of marriage so well.... how shall we deal with a cheating partner？do we forgive? Do we forget? Or shall we ignore? So much emotions....
Its up to you. If you able to forgive, then forgive. If u cant accept the betrayel, its better to walk away. Some will ask u to stay, some will ask you to walk away , remember to do what your heart says.
@@Jay-wm8fy I don’t agree a broken trust and betrayal is the death of a relationship no matter what you choose to agree the remorse and uneasiness will always stay with you. A person who cheats on you doesn’t really love you at least not more than his/her desire are you really willing to spend your life with someone who is willing to break your heart and hurt you form something so vile and temporary. Theirs no cure to selfishness.
In episode 14 when she goes in water and smiles like a child who found a lost doll and found it again. She then, for a moment laughs and goes further in the sea. My heart broke in that moment. God so many people agree with me, thanks for the support. I didn't know until now I had this much likes. Thank you again. And if you want to cry whole heartedly, badly , laugh and cry with suspense, try watching "the light in your eyes" again a korean drama.

Can totally understand how this drama is about. Trust me, it's not exaggerating at all. Because I've experienced it myself. Friends deceiving me, cheatings, family, child, sex.... the behaviour she is acting, many would say she is mentally not okay, where i totally understand where she is coming from. I used to be at that state..even until now. The fact that my heart broke even more after watching this drama hurts me.
Your’ll should watch Secret Love Affair. She was the female lead, together with the male lead, their performances will reap your heart apart literally. Their love and chemistry for each other was outstanding!!!

This drama scream the reality in marriage when a snake sneaks into the it. The only drama that don't do physicals between mistress and wife but much more onto Emotional baggage Which is honestly true base on those failed marriage I've heard. It's just sad that the wife can't be reckless against those people who fooled her in between of losing herself mentally and emotionally.
I feel like I am wayyy to young to understand the meaning behind this drama and why Ji sun Woo still wants to be with someone like Lee Tae Oh or how She even ended up with someone like him in the first place.

Can you even imagine what kind of an impact that would do to a woman’s self esteem? Who cares about finances when you still love him? But in the drama, she has got everything and then suddenly they all come crashing down. I also like that it’s kinda a revenge story. He cheats on her and tries to build a better version of his life over her sorrow, but her smarts and karma gets him. I like the woman character for being strong, putting up a fight and ruining his life in the end. I relate to her because I went through something similar in a way.

I think a part of him still loves her and regrets. I also love that dynamic towards the end. When he loses all and she hugs him, still in fact loving him, but had to do what she does. That was my experience. I had to lock my lover behind bars myself. I loved him with all my heart but I had to do it..
Wuuuo esta serie fue atrapante desde el primer capítulo, tiene de todo y solo te deja queriendo saber rápidamente que va a pasar en el próximo capitulo. Su éxito se basa en exponer temas polémicos de la sociedad, claro los asiáticos son expertos en que el drama sea drama de verdad jeje Me encantó su Ost, sus historias, las actuaciones... En ciertos momentos piensas que más puede pasar, y no para de pasar cosas más fuerte que la anterior... Lo único que no me gustó mucho fue su final pero ya estoy acostumbrada a que estás series son así... Me gusta que expongan lo que es capaz una mujer de hacer por cuidar y proteger lo que más quiere. Está demás decir que entra en mi lista de las mejores.

The behavior of the son is acceptable for the earlier happenings. But as he grows up, he should've also become matured enough to see his mother's pain. Even though he is not yet old enough to truly understand what is happening, how and why it happened, and who really should he side to, he is still at the age where he should already be aware of his mother's pain at least and sympathize with her. The lack of sympathy and empathy from the son makes his character dull, unrealistic, and unable to level with the other characters' in depth characterization. His character (and acting perhaps) makes it difficult for the viewers to like him.

This drama scream the reality in marriage when a snake sneaks into the it. The only drama that don't do physicals between mistress and wife but much more onto Emotional baggage Which is honestly true base on those failed marriage I've heard. It's just sad that the wife can't be reckless against those people who fooled her in between of losing herself mentally and emotionally.

I feel like I am wayyy to young to understand the meaning behind this drama and why Ji sun Woo still wants to be with someone like Lee Tae Oh or how She even ended up with someone like him in the first place.

Can you even imagine what kind of an impact that would do to a woman’s self esteem? Who cares about finances when you still love him? The son was such a thoughtless and selfish brat I wanted to smack him so many times.
@@lina_adventures maybe from a male perspective, what would the woman have felt didn’t affect you, maybe that’s the reason you couldn’t relate. But in the drama, she has got everything and then suddenly they all come crashing down. I also like that it’s kinda a revenge story. He cheats on her and tries to build a better version of his life over her sorrow, but her smarts and karma gets him. I like the woman character for being strong, putting up a fight and ruining his life in the end. I relate to her because I went through something similar in a way.
@@lina_adventures wow I had really thought you were a male :) Then please don’t mind me asking how old you are :) Maybe you have closed that chapter in your life and realised it doesn’t serve anyone to take revenge, but in the drama after he leaves the woman tries to move on but he comes back and bothers her. I think a part of him still loves her and regrets. I also love that dynamic towards the end. When he loses all and she hugs him, still in fact loving him, but had to do what she does. That was my experience. I had to lock my lover behind bars myself. I loved him with all my heart but I had to do it..

Wuuuo esta serie fue atrapante desde el primer capítulo, tiene de todo y solo te deja queriendo saber rápidamente que va a pasar en el próximo capitulo. Su éxito se basa en exponer temas polémicos de la sociedad, claro los asiáticos son expertos en que el drama sea drama de verdad jeje
Me encantó su Ost, sus historias, las actuaciones...
En ciertos momentos piensas que más puede pasar, y no para de pasar cosas más fuerte que la anterior... Lo único que no me gustó mucho fue su final pero ya estoy acostumbrada a que estás series son así...
Me gusta que expongan lo que es capaz una mujer de hacer por cuidar y proteger lo que más quiere.
Está demás decir que entra en mi lista de las mejores.

Only show stopping me from falling into coronavirus depression..... completely has got me hooked and this soundtrack has me crying in almost every episode. Well done entire cast and Kim Yuna. The character who plays the son is a bit ungrateful and annoying though! Feel bad for his mom.

The behavior of the son is acceptable for the earlier happenings. But as he grows up, he should've also become matured enough to see his mother's pain. Even though he is not yet old enough to truly understand what is happening, how and why it happened, and who really should he side to, he is still at the age where he should already be aware of his mother's pain at least and sympathize with her. The lack of sympathy and empathy from the son makes his character dull, unrealistic, and unable to level with the other characters' in depth characterization. His character (and acting perhaps) makes it difficult for the viewers to like him.
