If tractor can be sexy, that 4955 sure is.. maybe the sexiest tractor there is. I am not even a JD fanboy but it looks so beautiful. That thing with the 8.1 found in say 7710, better hydraulics and a bit better gearbox, would be perfect.
Now that's how you bale hay! Nothing like a krone big pack. I have yet to see another baler function at that speed! Man talk about not getting board making hay at 10 mph. Hell they look like they are going 15 in this video. But let's not forget those beautiful John Deere just a purring along. For me this would not be work. It would be a beautiful day in the field with my equipment making hay.
These guys are out of Denmark. It threw me for a loop too since what they run is more in line with North America than it is Europe. They don't have all the restrictions you'd find in the UK or Italy or many of the other euro countries.
Those big balers take a lot of power to operate, and that is a mechanical diesel engine powering that 4955. When the arm inside compresses it takes more power than the rest of the cycle, so you get increased load only at that point. Newer computer controlled diesels will stabilize that a lot better and won't give the puff of smoke as the RPM climbs back up. All older mechanical diesel tractors act like that. That particular machine has been turned up a lot, so it isn't a lack of power issue at all. It's got a lot more horsepower than a stock machine from what I remember from previous videos with it.
John Deere 4755 or 4955?
I like the 4755 more idk why but I just do
4955 looks and sounds mean. Love it!!
Brings a smile to tractor fans all over the Word. Pure muscle. Awsome.
4955. I never thought a Soundguard tractor looked right without a stack through the hood
I love old tractors. Just pure raw power nothing fancy
love that 4755 with those wide wheels 😁
That baler is working that jd pretty good
That's a serious looking deere,top notch
That would be some sight on a silage pit with a big push off rake
The 4955 has a prostrate problem?
What a beautiful sight to see 👌
That baler ain’t bullshittin!
Throw those shoes on the 4955 and you'd have a winner. I never cared for the exhaust on the side of the cab myself, despite the slightly better view.

Yep, the powertech 8.1 that JD developed after is arguably the best engine that they ever made
Like the wind farming too
Ca...c est des vrais JD...!!!
Love it
Old school power 💪
Both are great! That sound from the pull down on the Big Pack, if I would here that in the darkness....(give it a try)
Sounds like KREATURE FROM HELL!
Koji ljepotan!!
Pozdrav iz Bosne!!!
Good job.

@@tjurzyk good point. Just giving ruff estimate. I'd say those tractors pumps have been touched.
@@tjurzyk they are everywhere unless turned up
@@gregkoenig9200 I thought so.
These have been turned up for sure.
What hp is that 49 running to go like tht 400?
Roughly 210hp at the PTO and the 4755 is 180hp at the PTO?
210 lmfao. That bi+
Why 4955 operator cannot drive on stable rpm level?

Just about too small for the baler.
Cool tractors. I like how the operator is just revving them repeatedly lol
He's not. What you're seeing is a drag on the engine in sync with the plunger inside the baler.
@@silvershelbygt500 the bailers ought to have larger/heavier flywheels with the slip clutch downstream of the flywheel.
@@silvershelbygt500 interesting!
