As if there weren't enough clever double meanings already, "this that 02 flow" can mean both the year that Nothin was released AND the year Jurin herself was born. I swear, their rap writers are lyrical gods.
Dont forget the simon says line. The literal meaning. Their CEO being named Simon and lastly... A hip-hop song by Pharoahe Monch from 1999. Dunno if the last one is accidental or not though, haha. (doubt it)
@siballin you know everyone has been programmed about what K-pop is. They are exactly what they have been saying and proving XG is breaking boundaries in every step, in every performance, every release, in each interview and it's not even a "thing" because all comes natural. They are NOT doing something just based on trend. XG is pure culture, and they giving us their take on hip hop and RnB and paying tribute to the ones that inspired them. So yea...XG are not idols. They are pure artists and performers and are taking their fans to the next level, with so many details and subtle messages and references that pure lovers would be able catch. They are proving an Asian Girl Group can become successful, not fitting the mould of a typical K-pop idol format, by sticking to a certain vision, belief and cultivating and nourishing what they love and the talent of each and every member. That's why I can only STAN XG 💯💙
XG's rapline got old skool b-girl blood flowing through those veins. A girl group who can actually spit like some G's. Love when Cocona opens with homeboooy with that deep voice of hers🔥 Thanks for supporting XG 👊🐺👊brother!
i feel like the song you were referring to...true player for real..isnt that 'still not a player' by Big Pun? I could be wrong i was just trying to figure it out alongside iwth you lol. actually maybe its not the more i think about it. anyways, man these two remixes (maya x harv, coco x jur) hits different for 2000s and 90s kids lol. I was in middle school and HS when this Noreaga song came out. Sometimes these kpop/pop fans wanna insult people who are older and say we're wack or old and corny...guess what we can actually appreciate even more when music like this comes out so how bout that? we actually GET the refrences lol. no googling for us.
@@Positioned2win I wish I was at clubs hearing this song lol. My parents were strict and wouldn't let me go lol. I had to settle for house parties in HS haha. *tear
Jurin: everything we do A1 flawles🎉🎉😊

Im pretty sure the "True playa fo real" is a Biggie line 😊
You’re right, usher just came to my mind first, he must’ve been inspired by biggie when he wrote it
