I remember thinking he could not possibly be normal and that he was indeed an android. Turns out he is one of the most humble stars on the planet. A musical and lyrical genius, a brilliant conceptual artist ; he is a brilliant Pilot also.
Hard to believe it’s been over 22 years since we lost Norman. Happy times when Stormn Norman and Gary were entering us with a world class display of airmanship.
Norman was a great pilot. Happy flying with Gary, served his country proud flying helicopter in the Falklands war, Air sea rescue in Cornwall and Solent & Passenger Airlines. I great man and a sad loss. Always remembered. He would be smiling at this video.
I am so proud of GARY NUMAN that he is a pilot sice the age 5 I just love Aircraft and I love the music of GARY NUMAN such a strong combination (DORRON FRANCO)
His Harvard is our Local one at Goodwood now Harvard 43 i live in Selsey she is over my garden most summer weeks my late Stepfather flew in her aged 90 in 2011 he was an instructor in Canada in 1940s Finished as a Mosquito Pilot four three years UK ,Canada and Burma.his Raf Squadron Buddy the late Dizzy Addicott taught Gary to fly .also flew his Harvard in the movie as Robert Mitchum .
We have another historical plane of our Selsey Village still flying at Sywell Graces Spitfire OUV ML407 was delivered to our ALG IN April on 26th 1944 by ATA Girl Jackie Moggridge for the build up to D-Day June 6th 1944 she shot down the firsty German Aircraft of D-Day a JU88 over France Pilot was Johnnie Houlton of RNZAF Squadron 485 based in Selsey . both met 50 years later at Duxford to sign for her again .
I am not sure why, but those 1930’s and 1940’s aircraft were so beautiful. Later aircraft are sleek and powerful demonstrations of technical badassery, but they just are not “pretty”! It is wonderful that these aging ladies are still gracing the Sky.

RIP Norman Lees. You were a majestic talent to be sure.
Love it!
I just recently returned to planes after a long absence by swinging past the airport on my way home.
@@WilliamKinsey-dx2dn you still learning or have you gone up solo yet?
@@sociocomm724 I'm solo and learning!😉
@@WilliamKinsey-dx2dn Well congrats my friend! That's quite the accomplishment. I wish you all the beat of mechanical functionality and safety lol
Brings back a lot of good memories having flown with both gentlemen in the 80s and 90s. Blue Skies Norman!
What was the top speed you think was achieved by both here?
That must have been incredible!

❤❤❤❤❤❤
Didn’t Gary have it painted as a’zero’ for combat air displays
Yes he did
Anthony Hutton passed in April sadly.
Not bad quality. Such a pity you decided to change the aspect ratio from 4:3 to 16:9. Thus, stretching the picture.
Fun to watch and listen. Which pilot is in which aircraft?
Gary is in the white plane :-)
@@MrOhforf Thanks! Pretty cool he has his Harvard in Japan livery.
Martin Poyner are you also a pilot (DORRON FRANCO)
Hi, No not at all :-)
What song is this?
Radial Pair [Motion Picture Soundtrack] (1994) - "Kiss me and Die" (instrumental version)
Sacrifice (1994) - "A Question of Faith" (vocal version)
Does anyone know what year this was?
Not 100% sure but I think it was 1992
Here is one I prepared earlier.
