- Hi all,
I haven't been uploading more episodes just because it's so time consuming. I had free time last night though... so here's a new show. This episode aired on 3/9/01. - Розваги
This show wouldn't have been what it was without Regis - He made the show RIP
The charismatic host, the tense atmosphere, the eerie music...no game show beats classic Millionaire.
RIP Regis. ILL MISS YOU. Whos here after they found out he died? RIP A LEGEND OF TV
I didn't get to say goodbye
It is a joy with Regis as host. Nice sense with humour. Good viewing. Thank you Regis.
Regis will forever be alive here on UA-cam!
Amen! I loved this man Regis!!!
If he born like 78 years ago maybe he still alive
@@sheilalindenstein8263 we love you regis we'll miss you pal
@@AnhTran-nn8qz what ? That doesnt even make sebse he was 78 thats when he died
I miss this show so much :( pre 9/11 days were so happy and peaceful
They tuuuuk errrrr juuuuuuooooouuub
Ikr it’s kind of eerie watching these episodes from early 2001
@@auspicious93 yup
So true with that second part
But it all changed 6 months later 😭
I Remember waiting up past my bed time to watch this man. Bless my for doing so
Thank you Regis for all the years of entertainment, you were always my favorite host for this. Your life's achievements will always be treasured. Enjoy heaven.
I hope there’s a bell in Heaven for each time someone says how awesome Regis was and how we miss him!! Ding! Ding!!!
26:26 To be or not to bee lol
RIP Regis. You were a true game show legend.
Just found this channel. I like this original version the best. Oh what fun!😄
R.I.P To one of the GOATS 🐐 of my childhood!
If you are ever going to use the 50/50 NEVER say what you are thinking about.
King Chibot exactly!!! I was thinking the same thing. I would never share what I already eliminated myself.
@@RF-ht8tr The show claims that the 50/50 is pre-determined and in no way influenced on the spot by what the contestant says. Whether it's true or not... who knows?
Always seems that way doesn’t it? The ones you eliminated on your own is the ones they remove. Unlucky or on purpose? Who knows lol
Each question usually have 1 answer that may be plausible even if you're familiar with the subject, the other 2 are usually easy to rule out if you know anything about it. 50/50 always removes those two and they are pre determined.
Even Regis said at some point "yeah the 50/50 is...eh"
Let’s be honest the show is never the same without Regis, like Jeopardy with out Alex
Rest In Peace, Brother Regis. We all gonna miss you, Big Homie.
Rest in peace. You have touched the hearts millions. If not billions. I truly feel like a millionaire watching you over the years.
Who Wants to be a Millionaire Hosted by Yakko Warner Wakko Warner and Dot Warner
That's absolutely why I hate the modern "Millionaire": for deviating from the original format and for having changed its rules so substantially over the years!
That dudes professor sounded like he didn't like him and didn't wanna help lmao
Back in these days, most people won at LEAST $32,000
In the Chris Harrison version it was rare for anyone to win over $30-50,000
RIP Regis you will be missed. I miss this show from the early 2000’s.
Robert my friend I do to😀.
God I love the second guy favorite kind of person.
We even know who Regis was in the UK . He’s from the era of great tv hosts 👍🏻 he will be missed 🌹
That's like saying we know who Daniel Radcliffe is in the US.
I remember being excited as a kid tuning into Millionaire with the family.
out of time sound always scared the shit out of me as a kid.
***** sorry about that. If it helps, I felt the same!
William Newton That's interesting. You must have an aversion to change, the end of things. I felt the same anxiety when I knew the show was about to end, and the sound would go off. I would be so into it and that noise signified the end of the moment and the start of the next thing. It is telling about how you feel about death, pleasure and pain, joy and sorrow. It probably pervades every aspect of your life, as with me and most others. Learn not to anticipate, and even look forward to your next activity. What does it mean to be happy if not to enjoy each moment?
pennmaster lmao what the fuck
pennmaster
+Aaron B episode #2575
God I miss these days.
If I was on someone’s call list, I would have 50 people with me, the internet and a map & dictionary. I would never be the one to say “I’m no help”
R.I.P Regis may we all become millionaires by the time we join you.
lol if they asked these dated questions today on old 90's movies nobody would win the mil
Paul was friggin awesome, he didn't do anything wrong, and got the best out of the situation despite the lifelines being wrong. I would've probably trusted the audience from the start...
RIP to a true legend
R.I.P regis absolute legend he is!!!!!!!!!!!😥😪😢😭🙏❤
This is back when Who Wants To Be A Millionaire was good! Even when Meredith Vieira was on the ABC version as recently as 2009 was good! I used to record it along with the Regis Philbin episodes on GSN and watch it every day after school! Good times. Now the new version of it sucks. It's not the same at all. It changed for the worse in my opinion.
But hey, look on the bright side, In Russia, they almost kept the same formula.
Absolutely true. I felt that once they changed the format to put both time limits and that random money per question was total horseshit and I lost it there.
+Anton Obyedkov I do live in Russia and I agree that the original is the best. But the problem is that I'm sick of always watching our "smartest" celebrities and I miss early 2000's when I was a kid and everyone had a chance to play this great game. Согласен?)
Meredith's version was syndicate but I agree, the show was best when Regis hosted.
I've always wanted to hear Regis Philbin say the word "Mesopotamia". Sadly, I will never have that opportunity. Oh well. At least we have old Who Wants to be a Millionaire episodes to revisit.
Once again thank you for everything Regis rip 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I remember Watching this Version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire on ABC. Regis Philbin was an Awesome Host
Rest in peace. You will be missed. Fly high. ❤️🕊🙏😞
17:14 I rarely see ties on fastest-finger questions !!**
thanks for doing these uploads
The Oscar question was rather difficult, because you’d have to know the categories for the awards (Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, etc, as well as the film)
I wish the prizes were adjusted for inflation. $1 million in 1999 is about $3 million today.
now this use to be my show member tryna guess the answers alone with my sisters in cousins these was the days such a classic in miss the host
this show is so great in I miss thris older show
I've always wanted to know if they hear the music after every answer too. It's so dramatic and makes it more pressuring! And the excess of lights, even I feel overwhelmed.
Regis the only one who made this show a hit!
Those life line sounds at the beginning i love !!
Me too ❤
Wow that first dude didn't even know the order of Rock Paper Scissors ✂️
I got every one of these right before the guy made the decision up to the Oscar question. Never keep up with movies. On the second one - got all of them easily except for the 32,000 dollar question. Would have probably used the audience for that one. I don’t really do trivia. A lot of these questions can be answered by using logic.
That first guy blew 2 lifelines on questions that he for sure knew what the answers were. Obviously his goal is not to win the million dollars but that any amount is good enough for him.
Maybe nerves got the best of him.
@@Adriana-hp1eh Ya exactly
Who Wants to be a king of the Space Jam hosted by Bugs Bunny
rip the legend, i use to see him on the tv as a kid
Soo long Regis, you'll be missed r.i.p.
His voice was unique. Rest easy😔 you will be missed.
One of a kind my friend. Loved him and all the work he did over the years
Rest In Peace Regis
That first $32,000 question was extremely basic American geography; it would obviously have to be the city closest to Boston, as the other three choices would be WAY too far away for a railroad. Granted, he probably burned Ask the Audience because it's not a reliable lifeline in the upper tier, but still, that was a very easy question for that stake level...
GSNPriceFan3 Exactly my thought.
Plow Twist: Regis still has one lifeline!
Norm MacDonald didn't need his lifelines.
He sounds like Owen Wilson XD
I looked on the internet on the Regis Philbin millionaire and it had 8 mini seasons I know it would be a blessing when they get all the episodes uploaded on the UA-cam channel that would be awesome from 1999 to 2002
Believe me, man, I look forward to that day as much as you do haha.
I was a contestant on the show right after this (3/11/01). Do you have that full episode?
Yels. Its here on YT I'm sorry I don't know how to post the link but do a search you'll find it
@@vickihshallenberger3644 Yeah, I found it eventually. That comment you replied to is 9 years old. So in nine years, you’re the first person to try and help...
I know they put all the lights and make it dramatic to pressure the person in the hot seat but my god, with all of those lights, they could light up an entire city! Lol!
hahahahahahaha omg that was funny. light up a city, lol! hahaha omg you are funny lol
I've always wondered if you could bring sunglasses and ear plugs onto the hot seat. I thought about doing that if I got on the show.
I can only imagine how hot those lights could get
"Look Mickey" is a painting I am Completely Unfamiliar with in the art museum.
First guy was kind of like Owen wilson without blonde hair lol
patience, none of the others are card games. Rochambo is a game me and my brother made up when I was 10; it involved us throwing foam swords at one another.
Man I hated that times up sound as a kid!!🤣
Me too
I've had no luck finding any Regis Philbin episodes from 2002, so I just read a few transcripts I found online.
I was only able to find two using waybackmachine. Where'd you find your transcripts?
I found some online on a Google Groups link that I found while reading a page on Wikia's Who Wants To Be A Millionaire Wiki.
For each of the following 2 Questions, I would have picked 1 of the following 2.
Only person to receive 2 Oscars for the same role in the same Film
1: Harold Russell
2: Joan Bennett
“Look Mickey!” Painting
1: Donald Duck
2: Goofy
Man, I feel like I would do decent getting to the hot seat, but I would never get there, since I would never get a Fastest Finger question right, lol
i remember watching this when i was 14-15
0:50 pre 9/11 era. When everything was great...
Recently watched his show diring the 911 diaster Regis covered it as it was happening. He stayed calm and was very professional. He was a class act.
The first guy was real annoying.
Why? Because he’s confident and decisive? Because he’s articulate? Or just because you don’t like lawyers?
A lawyer who’s strong suit is film... seems legit ...
Fun fact I have a book 📚📖 of 🥪 sandwiches in 1 of my dresser drawers and among them was the Monte Cristo!
LOL the $32,000 question was so easy.
Feel bad for Brett Beach. They should invite him to get the chance to play some point soon.
RIP REGIS PHILBIN
I was 9 years old when this show debuted; I was allowed to stay up to watch the 8:30-9:30 (Eastern) show, but not the 9:30-10:30 show.
Sarah Edwards my friend I use to when I was a kid😀.
Do you have the previous episode before this one
Only the 2nd tie in the Fastest Finger
Funny enough, in Finland I've always known solitaire as "pasianssi." Makes sense it would be derived from patience... the more you know.
Wasen't this episode used for The Price is Rice YTP?
Rip Regis philbin
RIP Regis!
Questions start at 3:50
Hello 🤗 Regis so nice
To see you!!!
Do you possibly have Toby Moore, Tim Shields original run in January of 2000, or Rudy Reber?
I got all his questions correct, though using only one lifeline, including harold russell. I want to get on this show
Knock Knock Jokes ahahahahaha
first guy sounds a bit like owen wilson
+taylor brigger RIGHT? A LOT like, I'd say.
taylor brigger Omg! I wondered why he sounded familiar!
He reminds me more of Steve Carrell
Wow
Spen *Waaaaohhh
Anyone know where I can find the missing Aug 99 episodes?
What did he say after: whether the odds be great or small?
Paul was a boss
someone should answer the phone joker with microsoft sam and uploads it to youtube
i'm about to poop myself
pfft I got Washington myself, it makes sense.
That's so true
💯
Has it ever happened that the person they called didn't pick up
It has happened but I don't remember if the life line was considered used or not.
The person they call is essential on hold. They were told to expect a call and agreed to do it. Also, I imagine they had back up
Yeah I’m sure they would just try to call them again or another person on the list and then edit that part out before airing
What if they both got the fastest finger wrong? Would they keep doing fastest fingers? That was a fairly difficult tie-breaking Fastest Finger Question. I would never have guessed what the right answer was because I’ve only heard of the Bo Knows Bo memoir.
That'd be my guess, but Prozac Nation & 'Tis were published within a few years of the show's airing, so this was probably an easier question in 2001 than 2020
If Paul's friend Rick from Seattle is not right, Paul will lose $93,000.
RIP ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😢
I wanttttttttttttttttt to be a millionaire !!!!!!
Another FFF tiebreaker since Kim Hunt's episode.
