i searched youtube for about an hour and everybody was making no sense, talking to fast, not explaining thoroughly, but you were perfect, straight to the point, easy to understand, thank you good sir
I've watched several tutorials and this one is by far the easiest to understand and execute. I spent an hour following a different tutorial yesterday and I was able to do it in 5 minutes with your help. Thank you so much!
@@TheVectorLab Hi. I was wondering if you could help me with this problem: Everytime I add a photoshop effect to a vector in Illustrator, I keep getting white pixelated borders around/inside the edges.
Nice work, boss. Man, one wouldn't think so, but finding a good TEXTURE tutorial LIKE THIS ONE is no easy feat. Thanks! PS. I'll be checking out your links too, based on (1) that cool texture; and (2) your str8 up great tutorial. Edit: PS: I immediately went and bought Masterclass I, followed the plastisol instructions (i.e. exactly as described in this vid here), and it WORKED LIKE A CHARM. My first official TShirt design is now pro, and it's a beautiful thing. Thanks again!
After selecting the brush in Brush Presets, how do you get it to replace the cursor icon? My cursor just remains a crosshair and I can't apply the texture.
Hi, I followed the instructions using a filled path i made using lasso tool. When I did it, the texture also end up on the background. How can i make sure the texture only affects the lasso object in interest? thanks in advance.
I can not save the work in vector format, how to do it? When I save the effect is not applied in Ai and SVG format. When I want to open the design in Corel Draw the effect does not appear. Only the letter appears in solid black format. Can you help me? thank you
Not bad. But the problem here for me personal are the edges. When you zoom in on the place where your pattern hits the edges of your words you get sharp cut-off corners. To solve this I make a border selection of lets say 8 px of your word (merged group with applied mask) and I put some median noise on that. This way your "using" or "erosion" looks more natural.
Hey Great Tutorial Bro, Beautiful font :), just one question, Many DTG Print Company's Mentions that transparency Will create a White Back Ground Because there are using a white base, Is this True and How do you overcome this with the technique you'v just shown? thank and cheers,
Hi Osher, thanks for your message. I haven't seen this problem, but I guess it depends on the vendor. I would think the underbase would just be printed under the image area, not the transparent area.
Hey Thanks For the reply Appreciate that, I guess your'e right I probably misunderstood the terminology. cheers bro. keep it up you have great tutorials :)
Self taught but I came here thinking I was going to learn something new only to realize I guess I am already doing it the right way lol thank u anyways tho

As usual Great Video Brother!
But instead of making brushes can we paste the selection in to the Mask to the Text layers with these textures?

Just learning PSD, following this tutorial once I click the brush texture to the font design it knocks out the color. Hmm... ?
Cool technique. But my background doesn't show through when I do it. The texture is just revealed in black/grey.
I had the same problem, then I changed to the eraser tool instead of the brush tool and it did what it's supposed to.
So awesome!!!
the 2024 version, I can't figure out how to group layers together
I can't change my texture into Brush....Please help me
Thanks for the tutorial. Can a person with the png edit the text as well?
no, you need the psd file. once a file is converted to png, Photoshop cannot recognize text layers
I have a sillouette of a dog, and I want a small text on the dog - so the text is cut out. I dont know the proper terminology.
