- I had wanted.. needed some kind of donkey friendly squeeze chute for a while...
I had Boone and Theo halter trained but not lead trained and certainly not used to other people! I needed a way to help keep my vet safe so she could sedate them for surgery.... my wonderful husband came up with this solution and it worked beautifully!!!!

Its all about donkeys!!!! NOT mules, NOT horses... just donkeys! Because they are different ! - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини
He is a helpful husband 😎
Brilliant!! Thank you!
This is great! I'm going to make a somewhat smaller version now for my two minidonks and some sheep, that are a wee bit smaller than the donks. Instead of buy a chute that I'll use only once in a while, I'd rather spend that money on something that will get used more often - or even just some hay.
Its been a big help with the rescue donkeys here until I can get them trained... and even the trained donkeys don't always stand nice for the vet
This was great, way to go 😁
Thank you for this
You’re welcome! It has really come in handy here!
I am showing this to my husband! After the farrier sedates the donkey, did they also do the trim in the squeeze chute? Or did they take the sedated donkey out of the chute to do the trim?
We sedate in the chute before gelding and trims but most of the time putting the donkey in the chute for trimming has worked good too. Good for training and less likely to get hurt
Yo estoy asiendo lo mismo
Buddy , your asking for a wreck.
You just gave me a great idea to try, I have 2 BLM jenny's that are real skittish, I think i can make this so I can start working with them and petting them, I've had a farrier come and trim them he tied them and they were pretty good, but something like this I can get their fly mask's on, spray them with fly spray, I'll have to look at the video again to see how he did the hinges. Thanks for the video. I'll be looking at some more of your video's.
Hope it works out! My vet and farrier have really appreciated it for the rescues I take in sometimes
