News breaks, but the show's gotta go on. Here's what really goes into the making of "Late Night with Seth Meyers." wapo.st/2LevQd3 Stay tuned for more behind-the-scenes content.
Wally!!!! What a legend!!!! The same team that does the SNL cue cards also does Seth's. Makes sense as he would've been so used to them doing Weekend Update all those years!
Seth Thank U for letting us see the magic that u bring us every week. Your shows are truly wonderful and definitely help us get through those tougher weeks in general. Keep up the amazing work. And Thank U Washington Post for running this behind the scenes ep. Ryu T.
Laitalafraise it’s a preference thing. NBC likes to use cue cards because there’s no way there can be a technical glitch. It’s also easy on the eyes when the talent reads it. SNL uses cue cards as well.
It's not a cuecard department - it's Wally, who is a gem of great worth. Keeping up with Seth's amazing and inimitable delivery is not a job for beginners.
Weird thing, i somewhat remember that doctor story, and even some jokes, but everything moves so fast, that it feels like that's a history today, like 5 years old history... It was just a few months ago. Right? Weeks? This trumpatisation of feeling /understanding time is really really f annoying...
Since you don't watch his show, you don't know WTF you're talking about. This is news like Jon Stewarts show was news - it wasnt. He is a comedian, doing a comedy show. It's called 'satire'. Look it up.

4:13 that was Seth's last cue card on SNL... It's sweet that he keeps it in his dressing room
I'm amazed A Closer Look is written by just one guy! It's really consistently funny I thought a team was writing it.
He has 100 writers
@@MichaelJ44He has about 15 writers, and only one for "A Closer Look."
@@MichaelJ44All these guys do. Even the greats like Carson, Letterman, Conan had a team of writers.

Everyone on the team is so talented!

Ryu T.
I love how many of the staff I can recognize. I hope they can continue to nurture good talent and move them into the light.
Especially people like Amber and Lutz. He was awesome in 30 rock
This is awesome
This is Amazing .
2:08 is that Steve Carrel?????
No, but he does look like him a bit.
Why do they use a cue cards guy and not a teleprompter?

Jonathan Graham it is also happening in the same building as snl so they can share the cue card department.

And you are a nobody.

@@zxcbbnm7552 I get the feeling a lot of things go over your head.
No wonder the show sucks.
