Nice video! Would love to see more of these. Ive got a Synology DS720+ 4TB (will upgrade to 16TB soon) 1GbE is enough in my opinion, but it is also possible to get 2GbE out of it, so I am fine. :) Would love to see a workflow for Davinci Resolve users for collaboration. We are a team of 2-3
Too bad Synology uses a lock nowadays so you can only use Synology (Toshiba) drives which are double the price... 10Gb should be standard on 2023...let alone in 2024.

We are a small team with the DS1522+ - do you have any tips for setting up a workflow to edit remotely occasionally? There would not be a dedicated edit machine at our office, so something like Jump Desktop/Parsec would not work there - just wondering if it's even feasible to edit from a server located at our office with the Synology VPN service, assuming internet at both the remote location and office are quality speeds.

I´m planning to get the DS923+ (or maybe TS-464) for myself (no team) for video editing (currently up to 4k/60), data storage & photo editing. Additionally to your recommendations I saw another video of Javier Mercedes where he edits exactly of that device. However, I´m confused why it would work, since a HDD is limited to ~200MB/s in terms of speed, right? How is it then possible to edit from that NAS? Since you also recommend the DS723+ it probably hasn´t anything to do with using RAID 10 for faster access. Am I missing something? Or are other upgrades besides the 10GBe required? NASCompares mentioned that M.2 SSD Cache isn´t really speeding up video editing, what is your opinion on that? Thanks!
