Wiera Gran dla Radia Solidarność, Paryż, 1986 (33 min.)

Wiera Gran umarła w 2007 roku i jednocześnie narodziła się wówczas ponownie - w zapisie dźwiękowym jej niezwykłego głosu, w artykułach, filmach, audycjach, książkach, recitalach i dramatach scenicznych jakie zaczęły powstawać.... Również na polach aktywności wirtualnej, w tym i na niniejszym, UA-cam.
Moje osobiste odczucie o tym, że ta polska pieśniarka przebywająca na emigracji od 1950 roku zacznie być znana polskiej publiczności na powrót dopiero wówczas gdy odejdzie z tego świata, sprawdziło się. W Polsce, w kraju z którym zawsze się identyfikowała, została zapomniana niemal całkowicie, pomijając nieliczną garstkę entuzjastów jej talentu i jej historii. Wówczas, gdy domagała się uwagi i słała swe sygnały, obsesyjne i dramatyczne, z maleńkiego paryskiego mieszkanka do nielicznych i wytrwałych, odpowiedź na miarę jej oczekiwań wciąż nie nadchodziła. Ale gdy zamknęła oczy, sława i zainteresowanie nagle się pojawiły…
Zanim to jednak nastąpiło, Wiera Gran zdecydowała się przekazać część swych artystycznych pamiątek autorowi tych słów z celem, by znalazły się one „w jej kraju”, w Polsce. Miało to miejsce w 1991 roku i drugi raz, 12 lat później. I część tych materiałów została już publicznie przez niego zaprezentowana: • Wiera Gran
Obecny ślad, to kopia wywiadu z artystką dla polskiego Radia Solidarność, nagranego dla tej rozgłośni w Paryżu w 1986 roku. Dźwięk z kasety magnetofonowej został zdygitalizowany dla potrzeb video przez jego autora. Wszystkie materiały wizualne użyte w tej prezentacji pochodzą również z jego - realnego - zbioru.

Vera Gran died in 2007, and at the same time she was born again - in the recorded sound of her unusual voice, in press articles, films, broadcasts, books, stage plays, recitals that began to be formed. The same happened on the fields of virtual activity, including the present one, UA-cam.
My personal feeling that this Polish singer staying on exile since 1950 would begin to be known to the Polish audience again only after she would leave this world, proved entirely. In Poland, a country she had always identified with, she was forgotten almost completely, except for a sparse handful of enthusiasts of her talent and her history. At the time when she was crying for attention and sending her signals, obsessive and dramatic, out of a tiny Parisian studio to those very few and retentive, a response, in the way she needed it, was not coming… But when she closed her eyes, fame and concern suddenly came.
But before that, Vera Gran decided to offer some of her artistic memorabilia to the author of the present words, with one goal: that they would be taken to and remain "in her country", in Poland. The current track being now presented is a copy of the interview with the artist for the Polish Solidarity Radio, recorded for that radio station in Paris, 1986.
Vera Gran speaks about about her life - artistic and personal tragic experiences connected with her stay in the Warsaw Ghetto and what happened in her life afterwards: accusation of collaboration with the German occupant, never proved and how it spoiled the rest of her life. Also critical remarks on the popular music singers ( 1980’s) and how the things are turning for better.
The sound of the cassette tape was digitized for the video by its author. All visual materials used in this presentation come also from his - real - collection.
Radio Solidarity (Polish: Radio Solidarność) or Radio S was an underground radio station of the Solidarity resistance movement in 1980's, broadcasting in Poland in defiance of the censorship from the times of the martial law in Poland until the fall of the communist regime in the People's Republic of Poland. It was established by Zbigniew Romaszewski.

Not being able to understand a word of this interview did not detract from my appreciation of the time and effort put into the production of the visual part of this presentation. Miss Gran wanted the interview to be kept in good Polish hands and she chose very wisely indeed and now it is available to the world in a way she could not have dreamed possible. Long live Poland and her indomitable people.

You must have been a great comfort to Mrs. Gran in a very difficult and sad period of her life when she was almost forgotten and nobody believed her true story, but tragically only after her death she got finally the recognition she deserved. Thru your Wiera Gran video presentations here on UA-cam you put her back in the limelight where she belonged, and of course as aways other people on UA-cam started to follow your good example ... !
