Very good Andy, nice to see an informative video on crown green as there are very few if any on the web, UA-cam, etc. I will be tuning in on future weeks. Many thanks. Btw, Gaghills green looks in top condition. 👏
Very useful advice Andy. Can you give advice about changing peg with both bowls to deceive an opponent ie. bowl the jack finger peg but send one or both of your bowls thumb peg.
Hi Andy, ive come here after seeing your video mesage on the golf mates. If you ever fancy a round give me a shout im only over the hill in Darwen, Like the video keep it up.
EXCELLENT JUST WHAT BEGINNERS ARE LOOKING FOR. ANDY SUNDAY LAST ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS, A PLAYER BOWLS THE JACK IT`S SHORT NOT 19m THE PLAYER WALKS TO THE JACK, PICKS IT UP AND BAILS AGAIN,I THOUGHT IT WAS LEFT TO HIS OPPONENT TO DECIDE IF IT WAS A MARK OR NOT AFTER HIS FIRST WOOD HAD CAME TO STOP, ANDY CAN YOU EXPLAIN THIS IN DETAIL.??,THANK YOU.
Andy, would it be possible for you to arrange some invitation games against past and current champions, that could be filmed for our viewing pleasure. Players like Bob Hitchen, G I Wilson, Chris Mordue, who were my bowling heroes.Maybe visit various greens like the Waterloo or other famous bowls venues. Don't know if this would be too difficult to organise, but as a past player would love to see.
Andy, my thought was for you to challenge past or current champions, depending on their availability. Maybe visit them at their home bowling greens where you could tie in the idea of visiting various bowling clubs. I just think seeing you in a game would spark a bit of interest for us old timers....
Thanks Andy......spot on, I've got two deliveries, you saw them in Isle of Man and left you speechless!
Lovely looking green. I'm new to bowls so thank you for the tips.

I don't know about getting games sorted but I do want to visit greens and maybe do a bit of history or something about each one
Walsgrave might be a good visit or a mention then Andy were the only pub in Coventry with a bowling green now

Is there a difference in how you grip the wood between crown and flat green bowls?
@revlewisrees9880 No, I don't think so. Just that flat green bowls are larger, heavier with a stronger bias.
