I agree, at least he’s being treated well in recent arcs in terms of battles even if he isn’t defeating a main villain alone -Defeated Toppo, a literal GoD in training -Defeated Broly (as Gogeta) -Essential to Moro’s defeat -Amazing showing against Granolah, and likely Gas too Without spoilers I will also say DBS Super Hero treated him well in a certain way too 🗿

Honestly I completely agree I love that Vegeta is Finally going on his own path and that he is finally working with Goku and trying to spend time with his family. Especially when he refused to train with Goku because Bulma was pregnant with bra
My only real major problem with Vegeta in super was him not getting W's. overall he's a better character, I like the direction he went, he's more of a traditional hero rather than a brooding edgelord since he had no reason to be that anymore, his baggage was dealt with.
I used to hate Vegeta character in super. To me it mocked Vegeta character in Z. But I decided to take a new look at it and I definitely appreciate it more. While I don't necessarily think it's the best, I definitely think his character deserves more recognition.
My problem with UE is that it got brought up too late. Like I would have preferred that in an earlier arc like resurrection f it gets kinda mentioned like how whis talked about UI briefly. We could have had beerus then say that a technique like that wouldn’t fit a saiyan as on edge like vegeta and this would catch his attention. Another example when the concept could’ve been introduced was the fight with toppo and have vegeta make a comment about respecting that kind of power and wondering if he can do it himself some day.

I dunno, I feel like Vegeta placing more importance on surpassing Goku makes sense. I think he truly believes that both he and Goku can overcome the gap between their current power and current enemy. You know, ultimate race of warriors, etc. etc. So... why would he not think about how Goku is gonna evolve to meet the new threat and consider how he has to evolve for more than just the most recent threat to best his rival?

Well...I disagree in one sense. I liked Vegeta's characterization in _Super_ from the start. Precisely because we got those moments with his family, the "MY BULMA" freakout, the mentorship with Cabba where he encourages Cabba to strive to surpass him, which, more on that in a bit, then him wanting to kill Black/Zamasu over not only Future Bulma and the hell Trunks went through, but also the theft of Goku's body. What that told me is that Vegeta's "I hate Kakarot" act is just that: an act. In-universe, Vegeta's Saiyan competitiveness and blunt warrior mindset was still a heavy part of his outer shell which he needed to learn to compartmentalize with time, especially as he became his own man and his abilities branched out more. In reality it's rather obvious Toei wanted to use his familiar Android Saga personality to further hook the fans back into the newer content, while incrementally showcasing his well-constructed end of _Z_ character development to cement him as a good guy. This current phase where the _Super_ manga is having Vegeta be more introspective on the Saiyans and his own past sins is merely advancing the same idea.
I feel like Ultra Ego is too broken. The more damage you take, the stronger you become? Not just that but the fact that Vegeta wouldn't like taking other people's power. Vegetas pride wouldn't allow it. He'd want to have to use his own strength in order to defeat his enemies. Edit: I haven't read the manga so if there's something that I've missed, please let me know. I just used this video and a few minutes of research to base this statement on.
I thinks it’s nearly a bezerk mode Like if you have 100hp, you do normal damage But if you have 10hp, your sheer rage and adrineline makes you do much more damage than normal.
I think it’s more the energy in a punch from an opponent which vegeta stores and then uses the energy with his own energy in a punch which makes it more powerful. It’s hard to explain here but there is a character(mutant I don’t remember) who has a similar ability to ultra ego, and he had a large drawback. Basically what I’m trying to say here is it’s not that op and doesn’t actually make vegeta grow constantly in power like broly lol

For those who also dont know, Vegeta was written to be based off the Six-Eared Macaque in Journey to the West. The Macaque is meant to be a representation of Wukong back when he was Egotistical, Arrogant, and Power Hungry (I mean he named himself "The Great Sage equal to Heaven"). Wukong was striving for Enlightenment at the time. Goku achieving Ultra Instinct is a sort of play on Wukong achieving Enlightenment, while Vegeta being the Macaque achieved a form that is derived from pure Power and Ego.
I do like the Cabba and Vegeta relationship but it's sad that he doesn't care about Trunks that much. Goku and Vegeta need to focus on their kids more.
I agree, even though I want to see the Universe 6 saiyans more, I also want to see Goten and Trunks start training and becoming stronger. Instead going down the same path as their fathers, they should go down their own path like Gohan did.

I agree to a point about the Vegeta win thing. I'd like to see him get a big win not because I think he needs it to be a good character or anything. I already like Vegeta. Like others are saying he puts in arguably as much effort, if not more sometimes, effort than Goku but still gets beaten so often. It would be nice to see his hard work pay off for once. And the main reason for me personally, is that it would just be an interesting change of pace. Don't get me wrong, I don't want Vegeta to basically go Saitama mode and instantly win all of his fights and I understand it being good to show characters fail and fall to make them relatable but can we get something other than "hahaha I've gotten super strong now Kalarot, this new enemy is nothing compared to the prince of Saiyans!" *cyr Vegeta pose and him being promptly buried in a crater.* I don't want them to make Vegeta perfect; but I'd like to see something different. I didn't watch the discussion video but I feel this I agree vegeta gets no wins its all about goku.I normally compare this to most animes with a decent rival my hero, naruto, and even bleach the problem with them accessing the same power is that goku always had the edge at first we agreed that he should be ahead but it became so excessive. Now that their powers are derived from different sources they can actually be seen as rivals on a different side of the coin and win together or have individual wins but not a fusion.
I get not liking Blue Evolution, I don't like the name because it's dumb and Super Vegeta Blue sounds cooler and makes it more his own. Like how Super Vegeta was supposed to be his unique version of Grade 3 Super Saiyan
yeah but it being his Super Vegeta version of Blue makes no sense. Super Vegeta isn't even 2X regular SSJ, how would Super Vegeta Blue be 20x stronger than Blue which is just SSJ using God KI (confirmed by the writers to be equal to X20 Blue Kaioken).
I started liking Vegeta after he became Majin Vegeta specially after his sacrifice against majin buu knowing the fact he be going to hell but yet he still made the sacrificed himself.
SSB Evolution; I can see your point on this, I mean they were working on mastering Blue which meant containing the aura, Then Evolution comes and there's like no explanation to it. Why does it have an aura again? What makes it different from Blue or Mastered Blue? He just attains it through sheer determination or jealousy depending if we're talking manga or anime, and barely anything more is said about it in canon, other than one of the writers saying it was a match for SSB Kaioken. While in the manga it's even worse, he just attains it, there's no explanation about anything for it, moving on. At this point, forms have to have more thought to them than just powerup, whether it be a unique mechanic or unique way of attaining, something. Spirit Fission; I disagree here. I love the idea of them learning some new techniques, but Spirit Fission is just a very pigeon holed power. It only works on powers that are combined with others like fusions or spirit bombs. So it only works on certain opponents or attack, and he has to straight beat it out of the opponent, so if they're too powerful as it almost always is, he'll be beaten long before the technique pays off anyway. And he wanted it only because he doesn't like people not fighting on their own. With all this criteria for how it works, we may never see it again. Fuck that, if they want Vegeta to have a ki draining or spirit bomb technique, just give him a ki draining or spirit bomb technique FFS. Hell, they went through all this BS about him learning teleportation, but then refuses to ever use it again or to purposely forget it or whatever. Just let them learn new things. I do like how Vegeta is these days though. Sometimes they do go a little TOO hard on about the rivalry when at this point it should be more a balanced, semi-friendly sort of thing where back in the past it was powered by pure salt. I like the idea of UE, though I'm a little iffy about the design, and I feel like it's him ultimately learning an inferior tecnique compared to UI. I mean if learning god of destruction techniques could close the gap between it and angel techniques, Beerus wouldn't be so inferior to Whis I would think.

Vegeta was never handed power if Im not mistaken (except for GT) he has always worked to get power. His potential was never unlocked. He wasnt "given" god Ki etc. Spoiler: DO NOT READ AHEAD! He beat Goku at the end of Super Hero.
Hey wanted to put my input to Super Sayain Blue Evolution(or Royal Blue) Vegeta and Goku both unlocked super sayain blue, which is simple them going super sayain on top of God. At this point both characters really haven't gotten too far into the form. Vegeta gaining Evolution to me is the Z equivalent to Super Vegeta or Grade 2 super sayain. You can say its already off the perfected super sayian form but this is with God Ki, not normal Ki. So it would make sense if it started at the beginning. Goku doesn't really care about improving the form, thus he used Kio-ken. While Vegeta at this point has nothing to stack with it. So in his fights he pushed to to grade 2. To put a bit more simply SSJ(Super Sayain) and SSGSSJ(Super Sayain Blue) both have the same progression respectively. With SSGSSJ coming off of SSJ it only makes sense it shares the potential and growth as the normal one does.
Royal Blue was never a confirmed name for any transformation ever, it has been and will always be called Super Saiyan Blue Evolution and it is the precursor to Ultra Ego.

Its a path showing Blue has more forms within it, nothing about it other than maybe a similar look(which means nothing when it comes to it). It has zero connection to ego

There's a limit, when fighting Granola he actually reach a damage limit and he got burnt.

Vegeta is an amazing character, yeah he had a bad past but like you said he felt bad about how much he did wrong and it tells me how tar he has come, and no matter how much stronged goku gets, he always finds another way to get stronger like Ultra Ego. I love how he shows no mercy and ive played a dragon ball game and it also shows how merciless he can be

I didn't watch the discussion video but I feel this I agree vegeta gets no wins its all about goku.I normally compare this to most animes with a decent rival my hero, naruto, and even bleach the problem with them accessing the same power is that goku always had the edge at first we agreed that he should be ahead but it became so excessive. Now that their powers are derived from different sources they can actually be seen as rivals on a different side of the coin and win together or have individual wins but not a fusion.

I get not liking Blue Evolution, I don't like the name because it's dumb and Super Vegeta Blue sounds cooler and makes it more his own. Like how Super Vegeta was supposed to be his unique version of Grade 3 Super Saiyan
yeah but it being his Super Vegeta version of Blue makes no sense. Super Vegeta isn't even 2X regular SSJ, how would Super Vegeta Blue be 20x stronger than Blue which is just SSJ using God KI (confirmed by the writers to be equal to X20 Blue Kaioken).

SSB Evolution; I can see your point on this, I mean they were working on mastering Blue which meant containing the aura, Then Evolution comes and there's like no explanation to it. Why does it have an aura again? What makes it different from Blue or Mastered Blue? He just attains it through sheer determination or jealousy depending if we're talking manga or anime, and barely anything more is said about it in canon, other than one of the writers saying it was a match for SSB Kaioken. While in the manga it's even worse, he just attains it, there's no explanation about anything for it, moving on. At this point, forms have to have more thought to them than just powerup, whether it be a unique mechanic or unique way of attaining, something.
Spirit Fission; I disagree here. I love the idea of them learning some new techniques, but Spirit Fission is just a very pigeon holed power. It only works on powers that are combined with others like fusions or spirit bombs. So it only works on certain opponents or attack, and he has to straight beat it out of the opponent, so if they're too powerful as it almost always is, he'll be beaten long before the technique pays off anyway. And he wanted it only because he doesn't like people not fighting on their own. With all this criteria for how it works, we may never see it again. Fuck that, if they want Vegeta to have a ki draining or spirit bomb technique, just give him a ki draining or spirit bomb technique FFS.
Hell, they went through all this BS about him learning teleportation, but then refuses to ever use it again or to purposely forget it or whatever. Just let them learn new things.
I do like how Vegeta is these days though. Sometimes they do go a little TOO hard on about the rivalry when at this point it should be more a balanced, semi-friendly sort of thing where back in the past it was powered by pure salt. I like the idea of UE, though I'm a little iffy about the design, and I feel like it's him ultimately learning an inferior tecnique compared to UI. I mean if learning god of destruction techniques could close the gap between it and angel techniques, Beerus wouldn't be so inferior to Whis I would think.
Just to point out that mastering blue was never a thing in the anime. Just like SSB kaioken and Blue evolution don't exist in the anime.

Bro piccolo would probably be above goku ui at that point if the power boost is so great that it puts him under Nappa level to about 3rd form frieza level with only one namekian and he is the most brilliant fighter in the universe

So id guess a boost from a warrior would be around 10-15% if power and from a normal namekian from 5-10% maybe

I don't think Goku ever defeated Vegeta in a fight. The Saiyan Saga fight was a loss. The Buu Saga fight was unfinished due to the Majin Buu threat.

Hey wanted to put my input to Super Sayain Blue Evolution(or Royal Blue)
Vegeta and Goku both unlocked super sayain blue, which is simple them going super sayain on top of God. At this point both characters really haven't gotten too far into the form. Vegeta gaining Evolution to me is the Z equivalent to Super Vegeta or Grade 2 super sayain. You can say its already off the perfected super sayian form but this is with God Ki, not normal Ki. So it would make sense if it started at the beginning. Goku doesn't really care about improving the form, thus he used Kio-ken. While Vegeta at this point has nothing to stack with it. So in his fights he pushed to to grade 2.
To put a bit more simply SSJ(Super Sayain) and SSGSSJ(Super Sayain Blue) both have the same progression respectively. With SSGSSJ coming off of SSJ it only makes sense it shares the potential and growth as the normal one does.
Royal Blue was never a confirmed name for any transformation ever, it has been and will always be called Super Saiyan Blue Evolution and it is the precursor to Ultra Ego.
@@CerealExperimentsMizuki Royal blue is my personal name for it, also I just hard disagree with that. Ego wasn't even in the books when Evolution was brought up. Its a path showing Blue has more forms within it, nothing about it other than maybe a similar look(which means nothing when it comes to it). It has zero connection to ego
@@leokatu9646 I never stated that it was created at the same time it's just the fact that it's an evolution of that form, kinda like how Super Saiyan 3 wasn't created until the Buu Saga yet it's an evolution almost completely different but was created due to the knowledge of the previous form helping make something unique.
