They should do a movie about the Carpathia and their heroic rescue attempt to get to the Titanic. It's just as fascinating as the titanic's story itself.
The main reason the lifeboats were mismanaged was Captain Smith's cancelation of the lifeboat drill. The officers didn't even know that the davits were strong enough and underfilled the lifeboats because of that. Smith was derelict in his duty for skipping the lifeboat drill and for ignoring ice warnings from other ships facing the same difficulties that night and going too fast for conditions.
@@egm8602 yes. I agree. They should have slowed down when it got dark. Remember that the nearby SS California stopped for the night because of all the ice. We don't know exactly why Captain Smith chose to skip the drill, but it is thought that he didn't want to interrupt church service or because it was too cold outside.
@@davinp Hubris is why Captain Smith skipped the lifeboat drill. The same hubris that led managing director Bruce Ismay to cut the number of lifeboats from 48 to 16, and that had both men happily discussing speeding through an ice field on a still and moonless night...they had begun to believe their own marketing.
It is theorized that Captain Smith didn't want to interrupt Sunday services or that is too cold outside, so he decided to cancel the lifeboat drill scheduled on the morning of Sunday, April 14, 1912
Some people did report that they heard a series of booms as the ship descended beneath the waves. Experts claim it was a bunch of implosions of the air pockets in the ship. Makes you wonder how many people probably died on that ride down?
The reasons it is difficult to determine exactly how many people died in the sinking is because of poor recording keeping and many bodies were not recovered from the ocean
Did u know if the captain didn’t turn it wouldn’t have sunk?? Because it it would have filled only 2 containers but when he turned the ship the sharp ice ripped through the 5 containers
Why do you show today’s cruise ships and lifeboats when talking about the Titanic? And why show a full moon towards the end of the video when you know and talk about it being a moonless nite?
Howabought the part where there was a coal fire, they switch ships to claim insurance (knowing it prolly wouldn't make it), and the iceburg was made up to cover their buts and they didn;t even hit the iceburg...... kind of like a 911thing

More lifeboats would have done squat. They barely had enough time to launch the boats they had. If they had more boats, those boats would have never launched. Also note that the number of boats Titantic had at the time EXCEEDED the minimum number required by law.
Self-fulfilling prophecy. They would have had more lifeboat drills and also tacitly acknowledged that the ship could sink if there had been almost 50 lifeboats. No confusion or hesitation for putting men and teen boys on the lifeboats, either. The first group of 24 boats could have been ready to lower in the first 30 minutes. This was proven by Brittania, which sank in an hour but had launched its lifeboats.
and never will now that theres a subarine down there so when titanic gone they will go see the submarine peaices, to then have another submarine or other aqatic tech stuck down there..,. taking lives with it :/.
the titanic still gives me goosebumps till this day
😢

If they had filled all 20 lifeboats to capacity, another 500 lives would have been saved
There were alot of reason why they didn't fill the boats
So true but not everyone believed that the ship could sink so only half of the life boats where filled

I couldn't imagine being in that boat when it was literally sinking💀💀💀
Unfortunately I can imagine being scared beyond reason and drowning. Only difference is I was not in vast ocean…😢😢
I want to be on there and I'm in Scotland road and water crawls up Scotland road

Titanic had another lifeboat drill before Southampton, the other one was cancelled because it was deemed unnecessary
Titanic Radioactive ☣️☢️☣️☢️
We don't know a lot of things about the titanic
I didn't even knew it had dogs on the ship😢
After watching bight side you still don't know a lot about Titanic. lol..But there were some pets on it.
There were chickens, rats, dogs, cat, exotic birds m, etc aboard.
Isn't it Ironic that all 3 Titan's wrecked? 1 was fictional, 2 was Titanic, 3 was the Titan. Going to Explore the Titanic...
Like in actual mythology.
Hi🎉Nice to watch this video. Thank you very much.❤❤❤
They post false info about the Titanic, don't trust them
Then you love clickbait
It was a dark starry moonless night.
You can thank Northern Ireland for making the titanic
There was no full moon at the night of the sinking, if there was a full moon, they would of seen the iceberg.

The latest figures to be calculated are 1,496 died, 712 saved.

Titanic would crumble if we were try to pull out of the ocean due to all the rust

Imagine being here 20 mins ago when I'm literally 8 mins ago💀

But you don't tell truth some times

Two entirely different things. Unlikely the coal bunker fire had any real effect.

True, but they could've been just let loose .
