Should we not use glucose instead of sugar or fruit juice for fist aid management of hypoglycemia as the latter takes some time to be converted to glucose?

Typically raw sugars or fruit juice will start helping your low BG within 15 minutes. I have not looked at prices lately but I remember last time I looked Smarties or Life Savers hard candies are way cheaper than commercially available glucose. What glucose were you interested in using?

If patient is alert&able to swallow follow rule of 15. 15-20g simple carb(typically a fruit juice). Recheck glucose in 15 mins
